О компании
- is the world’s largest continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) platform, and the hub where code moves from idea to delivery. As one of the most-used DevOps tools - processing more than 3 million jobs a day - has unique access to data on how the most effective engineering teams work, and the tools to help software companies successfully leverage the power of AI into their commercial applications. Companies like Hinge, HuggingFace, and Samsung use us to improve engineering team productivity, release better products, and get to market faster.
- Founded in 2011 and headquartered in downtown San Francisco with a global, remote workforce, is venture-backed by Base10, Greenspring Associates, Eleven Prime, IVP, Sapphire Ventures, Top Tier Capital Partners, Baseline Ventures, Threshold Ventures, Scale Venture Partners, Owl Rock Capital, Next Equity Partners, Heavybit, and Harrison Metal Capital.
Обязанности
- A day might start with a launch headline that isn't landing and an hour showing the writer why. Then a working session with the Senior Creative Director on a campaign concept, a pass on the narrative leadership will use with the company, and a late check on what AI assistants are telling developers about us. The next day looks different.
- Guide the brand. Shape our strategy, positioning, and narrative through this next chapter. Start with what we've built, and help us see where it should evolve as the way software gets built changes.
- Shape the company's voice. Choose when to lead with personality and when to lead with proof. Own our positioning in the market and carry the story across every global touchpoint from our homepage, holistic web experience, events, sales comms and paid advertising. Show its impact through conversion rates and other measurable results.
- Steward our copy. Be the final read on the work that matters most, from campaign concepts to launch headlines to sales decks. Use one test: would an engineer here send it to a friend? Write the biggest pieces yourself.
- Enable marketing. Content is produced across all of marketing, so enabling writers is as much your job as reviewing their work. Review fewer things, and make the rest better.
- Be a creative partner. Work side by side with Visual Design from the first idea. Be a generous brainstorm partner who builds on rough concepts, and give feedback that makes the work better.
- Know who we are and what we do. Learn the product, the company, and the developers we serve. Spend time with the people who build and sell , follow where developers talk to each other, and watch what competitors say, then bring it back to the team.
- Keep the brand easy to use. Write guidelines and build assets simple enough that teams use them without asking, and manage the brand budget, agencies, and freelancers.
- Track brand health. Follow branded search, share of voice, developer sentiment, and whether AI assistants give developers the right answer about us. Report what you find honestly, and adjust.
Требования
- You have 10+ years in brand, product marketing, or creative marketing, ideally for a B2B, developer, or technical audience. You write well, you've guided an established brand through a period of change, and you have guts, taste, and EQ. You'll argue for your idea and be glad when a better one wins. You care about the outcome, not just your piece of it, and you bring people along because you know this is a team sport.
- Excellent writing, shown in samples. You can move from a precise technical explanation to a one-line headline without losing the voice, and you can say exactly why a sentence falls flat.
- The confidence to say "this isn't us" and the patience to teach why.
- Agency experience, or real enthusiasm for the pace: many internal clients, quick turnarounds, shared credit.
- Experience enabling a distributed content model through guidelines, examples, and coaching, rather than by rewriting everything yourself.
- A feel for what matters to software developers. Coding experience is optional. Empathy for the developer is required.
- Uses AI as a tool, and knows when to throw out what doesn't meet the mark.
- Experience with positioning and messaging, and presenting both to executives.
- Experience influencing partners across a matrixed company and building a brand with focused resources.
- A track record of writing that moves the numbers: web conversion, pipeline growth, and campaign performance with results you can show.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

- helps more than two million developers ship software confidently. The way software gets built and shipped is getting turned on its head, and our brand has to meet the moment. It has a clear center: the developer is the hero of our story. We're looking for a Senior Manager, Brand Marketing to lead it into its next chapter. Our team is small by design, the category is at an inflection point, and you'll be close to the decisions that shape what comes next.
- This is a strategic individual contributor role on the Content team, reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing and Communications. You'll work every day with Content and Visual Design, which together act as an in-house agency for the rest of marketing. You'll be the steward of our customer and of our copy. We're investing in brand, and you'll have a focused budget and leadership behind you.
- At , people make our hiring decisions. We use technology to support our recruiting team so they can spend more time on what matters most: getting to know you.
- Job descriptions and messaging : AI may help draft job descriptions and role-specific messaging so they are clear and accurate.
- Application review : For some roles, we use an AI tool to review applications, including resumes and application responses, against criteria our hiring team sets for the role. The tool generates a fit score and summary to help recruiters organize and prioritize applications.
- Interview notes : With advance notice, an AI note-taking tool may join interviews to record, transcribe, and summarize the conversation. This lets interviewers focus on talking with you. You will be told before each interview, and you may opt out at any stage by letting your recruiter know. If you opt out, the tool will not join, and your candidacy is not affected.
- Outreach : AI may help draft candidate outreach and scheduling messages, which our team reviews before sending.
- AI does not make hiring decisions at . Our recruiters and hiring teams review candidates and make every decision to advance or reject an application. No candidate is rejected based solely on an AI score. We have tools and processes in place to test for bias and to review how these tools perform, and we adjust our approach as AI technology and the laws that govern it change.
- You can ask for human-only review of your application, opt out of AI interview note-taking, request an accommodation, or ask questions about how we use AI. Contact recruiting@.com . For how we handle your data, including retention, see our Privacy Policy.
