ui/uxusability evaluationconcept sketches

Contribute to designing and evaluating user interfaces for innovative wing-in-ground-effect transportation vehicles to ensure safety and usability.

A seaglider floats, foils, and flies — and every one of those transitions has to make sense to the pilots flying it and the passengers riding in it. Nobody has designed that interface before. As a Human Factors Co-Op , you’ll help shape it: contributing to concept sketches, UI/UX standards, and the usability evaluations that keep the interface safe, intuitive, and ready for certification.
As part of the Systems team, you’ll be joining a group of driven, collaborative, and talented engineers who take pride in solving complex technical challenges and making an impact as a team. We hold a high bar for engineering rigor, move quickly, think boldly, and rely on our teamwork to push boundaries and bring entirely new technology into the world.
If you’d rather sketch and test a real interface than read about one, and you want hands-on experience on a vehicle nobody has built before, we’d love to have you on the team!
Contribute to new feature concepts. Bring ideas for how pilots and passengers interact with the seaglider human interface.
Help build out our design standards. Contribute to ’s UI/UX standards and design language.
Support safety and usability evaluations. Help plan and run evaluations of the seaglider human interface.
Help define human factors requirements. Support requirements definition and draft test procedures.
Partner across engineering disciplines. Work with engineers across systems, software, and flight test to bring HF findings into the design.

Working toward a relevant degree. Pursuing a degree in Human Factors Engineering, Engineering Psychology, or a related field.
Some exposure to aviation or maritime contexts. Coursework, research, or personal flying, boating, or sailing experience.
Comfort with prototyping and communication. Proficiency with rapid prototyping tools (e.g., Figma); excellent written and verbal communication, including technical documentation.
Self-motivated and adaptable. Comfortable with shifting priorities in a startup environment.

Competitive compensation
Housing Stipend available for those temporarily moving to join our team
Daily, free catered lunches
Learning & professional development opportunities

If you’re ready to take on an exciting challenge, grow with us, and make a lasting impact, we want to hear from you. Even if you don’t meet every requirement, but you see yourself contributing to our mission, we encourage you to apply! We value diverse skillsets and experiences and believe in the potential of passionate individuals to make a big impact.

At , we’re on a mission to revolutionize regional transportation between coastal cities. We're not just building vehicles, we're creating a new category of transportation: the Seaglider. These groundbreaking wing-in-ground-effect craft travel just above the water’s surface, combining the speed of an airplane with the low operating costs of a boat. Capable of 180 miles at 180 mph on today's battery tech (and up to 400 miles with next-gen batteries), Seagliders will unlock fast, affordable, and sustainable coastal transit for passengers and cargo - connecting cities, islands, and communities like never before.
Backed by leading investors and powered by a team of passionate, forward-thinking engineers, builders, and operators, we’re now scaling from a breakthrough prototype to full production - and building the team to make it happen.
Curious about people, not just tech. You want to know why someone struggles with an interface, not just that they do, and you’re excited to go find out firsthand.
Hands-on, not just theoretical. You’d rather sketch a quick mockup or run a small usability test than write a memo about what one might find.
Comfortable without a precedent. A seaglider cockpit doesn’t look like anything that exists yet. You’re energized by that, not looking for a template to follow.
Present for the work. Evaluations and test days don’t always land on a tidy schedule, and you’re ready to show up when the work needs you.
