Managing global mobility program with focus on tax strategy and compliance in a defense technology company.

Develop the global mobility tax framework, principles, governance, and service model in partnership with Corporate Tax teams.
Build clear policies and decision frameworks for international and domestic business assignments, cross-border transfers, and other mobility scenarios.
Support the global expansion strategy, ensuring compliance in international jurisdictions.
Partner with Payroll, Corporate Tax, Finance, Legal, People, and business leaders to identify tax implications early and support sound workforce decisions.
Support employees across the mobility lifecycle, including cost projections, assignment consultation and documentations, tax briefings, and coordination of tax return preparation with external advisors.
Serve as the escalation point for employee and manager questions on mobility and assignment questions, providing clear, consistent guidance and a high-quality employee experience.
Establish reporting, playbooks and decision frameworks.
Manage external tax advisors and vendor partners, service quality, and delivery against agreed standards, timelines, and outcomes.
Monitor regulatory and business changes, assess program impact, and continuously strengthen policies and controls.

Minimum of 7+ years of experience in global mobility tax, expatriate tax, or business-traveler compliance.
Experience in an in-house global mobility tax function, tax advisory firm, or both.
Strong knowledge of individual income tax, payroll withholding and reporting, social security and totalization, tax equalization and protection, and permanent establishment risk.
Proven experience building or scaling mobility tax policies, controls, and workflows for a globally operating company.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and lead cross-functional initiatives.
Experience managing external tax advisors and implementing mobility tax technology.
Highly organized, data-driven, and operationally sharp with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate technical tax requirements into clear guidance for employees and business partners.
Analytical thinker with a proactive mindset; thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments and meets tight deadlines.
Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities

Experience supporting a defense, aerospace, or other highly regulated industry, including how export control and clearance requirements affect mobility decisions.
Working knowledge of equity compensation taxation for mobile employees, equity tax treatments, and cross-border sourcing of RSUs and options.
Hands-on experience with shadow payroll, hypothetical tax, and tax equalization settlements across multiple jurisdictions.

US Salary Range
$142,000 — $188,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
