Engineer responsible for product operations including maintaining and evolving a deployed fleet, building systems to prevent incidents, and developing uptime reporting and monitoring solutions.
О компании
- The Counter-Intrusion Business Line works on products that enable operators to protect their people and assets from threats on land and sea. We are deployed in every major global operating theater and support a diversity of mission sets across both U.S. Government and allied partners.
Обязанности
- As a Product Operations Engineer on the Counter-Intrusion product operations team, you will be the architect behind how we observe, maintain, and evolve our deployed fleet. Where others respond to incidents, you build the systems, queries, and processes that prevent them. You will design and develop uptime reporting, plan and execute software deployments to towers, create and refine monitoring solutions for both new and legacy products, and author the runbooks and SOPs that the broader team relies on daily. You will own the operational tooling, reporting infrastructure, and deployment processes that keep our Counter-Intrusion technology healthy at scale. You should bring strong technical depth in observability and systems thinking, paired with the judgment to prioritize what to build next based on fleet data and operational patterns. If you are passionate about ground-breaking technology, contributing to the national security mission, and engineering operational excellence from the ground up, is interested in speaking with you.
- Design, develop, and maintain queries and dashboards for uptime reporting across the Counter-Intrusion deployed fleet, translating raw telemetry into actionable fleet health metrics
- Serve as the product operations planner and executor for software changes deployed to towers, owning the end-to-end lifecycle from change validation through rollout and post-deployment verification
- Work with tower software engineering to develop and tailor monitoring solutions for new tower deployments, ensuring observability is built in from day one rather than bolted on after the fact
- Improve and optimize monitoring configurations for legacy products, identifying gaps in coverage and reducing alert noise to surface genuine issues
- Continuously author, update, and refine runbooks, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides, ensuring operational knowledge is codified, accurate, and accessible to the team
- Assess and ratchet up the quality of the fleet's observability and telemetry in partnership with product and engineering teams, driving standards for what good monitoring looks like
- Analyze fleet-wide operational data to identify systemic reliability trends, proactively surfacing issues before they become incidents
- Define and implement process improvements for deployment workflows, incident response procedures, and operational tooling based on data-driven insights
- Develop and maintain automation to reduce manual operational overhead across the fleet
