Responsibilities
- Working closely with the rest of QA and other development teams
- Identify, analyse and enter bugs into the project database
- Create and follow test plans to cover multiple areas of the game
- Communicating the state of project areas throughout the development cycle to the rest of the team
- Supporting development teams as needs arise
- Becoming an expert on the game and features of your current project
- Confident in taking ownership of features within your project with support from Seniors and Leads
Requirements
- Highly adaptable and resilient to change
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Willing to constantly learn
- Passion for video games
- Experience working in a team environment
- Knowledge of JIRA or similar bug tracking software
- Knowledge of Notion or similar documentation software
- Experience working in an Agile development process
- Experience working on at least one platform (Steam, PS5, Xbox etc)
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
- Proactive in spotting issues and suggesting solutions
- Communicates clearly and respectfully with peers across disciplines
- Takes feedback well and offers it constructively in return
- Strong problem-solving ability being able to look deeper into causes of issues
- Able to understand task requirements and follow up on uncertainties independently
- Comfortable identifying and filling own gaps in knowledge
Nice to have
- Technical knowledge of and experience using game engines to develop games (Particularly UE5)
- Experience testing on a variety of platforms; e.g. Steam, PS5, Xbox, Nintendo Switch
- Experience diagnosing crashes using callstacks
- Experience of working with external teams or clients on 3rd party projects
Conditions
- Start your day any time between 8:00am and 10:00am
- 35 working hours per week with a 1-hour lunch break (with the opportunity to flex down to 30 minutes or up to 2 hours)
- 25 days annual leave + 8 days bank holiday
- 1 day leave for your birthday and 1 day leave if you're moving house
- Length of service increases are 1 day per year of service up to maximum of 8 additional days
