Manage social media presence for Misan, a carbonated water brand, focusing on storytelling and climate impact.

Own Misan’s social media identity across all platforms, delivering 3-4 short-form posts per week (12-14 hours/week)

We are quickly reaching the 1.5°C threshold of global warming that the Paris Agreement targeted back in 2015, and it will require both decarbonization and large-scale carbon removal to slow and reverse our current pace of CO2 emissions. We are a team of scientists and engineers who are passionate and goal-driven, and we see a technology with a high potential for big impact. As a small team, every person’s input directly improves our technology. While we each specialize in different areas, we remain flexible with how we contribute to our shared goals, often learning new skills from each other and whatever resources we can find. Finally, we’re a tight team that value both our time together in the office and our personal time outside of work. If that sounds exciting to you, please reach out!
Several company holidays per year including week-long holidays in November and December
Flexible time-off policy with unlimited PTO
This role is ideally hybrid (San Francisco) but can also be fully remote for the right person.

is a Series A Direct Air Capture (DAC) startup aiming to develop the most readily scalable and cost-competitive DAC process. By employing widely available industrial technologies and equipment, and by creating an energy-flexible process, we hope to overcome barriers to scale such as material supply chains, cost and availability of clean energy, and plant capacity factors.
We recently launched a sister brand, Misan. Misan is a sparkling water carbonated with CO2 that removes from the air, and is our way of making our core technology more tangible. It’s both a proof-of-concept for investors and folks already interested in DAC, and a consumer-facing product meant to get everyday people thinking more about carbon removal as an important part of the climate mitigation story.
We’re looking for a social media manager to join our team and help shape our social presence – to both drive sales of Misan and also deliver bite-sized, accessible content about carbon removal & Direct Air Capture (ideally – each video does both; which is a tough balance to strike but that’s why we need you!). We’re looking for someone who loves CPG products & storytelling around them, but is also interested in the climate aspect of this product and telling that part of the story in a nuanced way.
Experience at the intersection of climate + social media + CPG
