- iOS Developer Experience (DevXP) team builds AI-powered developer tooling and intelligent agents for iOS development at Slack.
- Focus on pioneering an agentic software development lifecycle with intelligent tools and autonomous workflows.
Responsibilities
- Build strong, sustainable, and AI-powered developer tooling for the Slack iOS app.
- Enable feature engineers to solve complex problems quickly using Agentic SDLC.
- Lead and mentor other iOS engineers in an AI-assisted environment.
- Set high standards for technical design and code quality across the entire iOS codebase.
- Own areas of responsibility and tackle complex debugging and CI pipeline issues.
- Innovate and take action in fast-paced environments, thrive in ambiguity and failure.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience building and maintaining complex iOS tooling from CI to CD.
- Deep expertise with Swift, Bazel, Python, and Xcode tools.
- Hands-on experience with Agentic SDLC workflows using AI coding agents like Claude Code, GitHub Copilot Workspace, or custom LLM scripts.
- Ability to monitor and improve KPIs such as CI stability, TimeToMerge, and build time metrics using intelligent automation.
- Deep familiarity with Apple ecosystem, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing tools, and scripting (Python/bash).
- A related technical degree required.
Nice to have
- Experience using Slack and interest in improving it.
- Prior experience in an iOS developer experience role.
