11 bit studios is seeking a Senior Technical Artist for the Frostpunk 1886 team to create high-quality materials, shaders, and tools in Unreal Engine 5, ensuring optimized and production-ready assets.

Responsibilities
- Create high-quality materials and shaders in Unreal Engine 5
- Build and maintain Blueprint-based and code-based tools for the art team
- Create and update documentation for tools, workflows and engine limitations
- Support optimization, profiling and debugging of the final product
- Ensure assets meet technical and performance requirements
- Collaborate with Art Leads, Technical Directors, programmers and QA
- Solve technical and visual production challenges
Requirements
- Good knowledge of Unreal Engine materials and shading workflows
- Solid understanding of the Unreal Engine 5 rendering pipeline
- Strong understanding of PBR and post-processing
- Experience using Blueprints for tools or gameplay-supporting systems
- Practical approach to technical problem-solving
- Good understanding of optimization
- At least one shipped title or completed commercial project
- Portfolio demonstrating relevant Technical Art experience
Nice to have
- Knowledge of VFX or lighting
- Experience with procedural workflows such as Substance Designer or other node-based tools
- Familiarity with shader languages such as HLSL or GLSL
- Experience with Blender, 3ds Max or Maya
- Experience working closely with both artists and programmers
