Internship project to develop software tools for testing and analyzing mobile device vulnerabilities and malware.

Duration: 2 - 4 Months Internship Type: Undergraduate, Pre-University Mobile device manufacturers and application developers are releasing new devices and apps at a fast pace. Analysis of mobile vulnerabilities and malware, and testing of new vulnerability discovery and anti-malware detection and mitigation techniques across a wide variety of configurations have become increasingly complex. This project aims to develop software tools to aid in the testing and analysis of vulnerabilities and malware, as well as emerging vulnerability discovery and anti-malware techniques across different Android or iOS device models, OS versions and applications.

Simulate user activity that may trigger vulnerabilities or malicious activity
Detect abnormal or malicious events on the device
Automate analysis of such events and highlight critical issues for deeper analysis
Strong interest in mobile device security
Basic Python and C/C++ Programming
Experience in mobile application development would be an advantage
Applicant should indicate preference in Android or iOS (if any)
