О компании

At , we're building the AI-powered platform that enables the world's most critical decisions in a £7 trillion industry: which risks to take, and how to price them. These are the decisions that shape real-world outcomes — whether rockets successfully launch into space, autonomous vehicles make it to market, or communities recover after major storms.
Until now, insurance has been making billion-pound decisions using outdated tools. We're changing that. Our platform brings together data, AI, and human expertise to give insurers the fastest path from submission to decision — helping them move faster, act smarter, and take on more risk with confidence.
Backed by a16z, Highland Europe, and Battery Ventures, we're scaling globally — already trusted by nearly 50 of the world's largest insurers, with zero churn and billions in premiums flowing through hx.
What began as a single product in one market has rapidly evolved into a multi-product, multi-territory platform powering every stage of pricing and underwriting. AI is at the core of what we do — from building the world's first domain-specific AI peer programmer for insurance (think GitHub Copilot with a PhD in actuarial science) to shaping agentic workflows that reinvent how this industry operates.
What makes hx different is the people who build it. Here, impact isn't tied to title or tenure; it's defined by the challenges you take on and the discipline you bring. Surrounded by peers who stretch you, you'll do the best, hardest work of your life in a company engineered to endure.
If that sounds like you, join us in building what comes next.
The Delivery Engineering team is a unique blend of engineers, actuaries, mathematicians and data scientists. We don’t take on traditional “transformations” (we have brilliant partners for that) – we specialise in handling only the most difficult and interesting problems our customers face, where only a combination of technical depth, market expertise and hx knowledge will do.
The Delivery Engineering team are the experts' experts of the hx platform, knowing it top-to-bottom, inside-out – both breadth and depth. You’ll learn its limits and which can be pushed. You’ll uncover every trick in the book, the secret combinations, and the shortcuts. You’ll combine all of this with a growing knowledge of insurance technology to present 'the art of the possible' to our customers and help shape cutting-edge tech, while working alongside some of the brightest, most ambitious people in the tech and insurance industries.

Provide drop-in support shaped by each customer's build stage, resolving most issues in session rather than escalating.
Make Developer+ repeatable rather than personality-dependent, documenting delivery and using AI to scale capacity.
Convert delivery knowledge into hx Academy content, prioritised by what reviews and drop-ins actually surface.

Hi 👋 I’m Dom Allgood, Client Education Manager at . I joined four years ago as a Curriculum Developer and have spent the last couple of years growing Client Education into the (soon to be) five-person team it is today. Before hx I spent a decade teaching Computing in secondary schools. Outside of work most of my time goes to my two children, and what's left to running and, more recently, mountain biking - where I'm still very much a beginner.
Client Education exists to get our customers to value as quickly as possible, and to keep them there. We run instructor-led training, own hx Academy where all our self-paced learning content lives, own the certification programme, and run some of our customer events. We've also recently taken ownership of Developer+, and that's where this role comes in. Our first customers are working through the programme now, and as it grows it will need to evolve based on what we learn from them.
This isn't a typical Delivery Engineer role, you'll sit in Client Education rather than Delivery Engineering. You'll still work closely with the wider Delivery Engineering team, but your day to day is the customers on Developer+: delivering workshops, running drop-ins, reviewing their code, and shaping the programme around what you learn doing it. You'll partner with Product too, so customers can adopt new enhancements quickly and smoothly. There's no established playbook for this yet, so what matters most is the drive to build one. If that sounds like the kind of problem you want to own, I'd love to hear from you.
You prefer following detailed instructions rather than experimenting and finding your own approach.
You are uncomfortable working directly with non-technical stakeholders to understand their challenges.
You avoid tackling ambiguous or open-ended problems where the solution isn't obvious.
If reading our Culture Document leaves you feeling neutral rather than energised, hx may not be the place where you'll do your best work. We're building something that asks for commitment and conviction, and we want you to feel excited by the opportunity to grow with us.
hxers are at the centre of everything we build. We know that progress depends on diverse perspectives, and we are committed to creating an environment where everyone can thrive, grow, and make an impact. We recognise there is always more to do, and we take responsibility for shaping a workplace that is not only diverse but genuinely inclusive.
Diversity is not just the right thing to do, it is key to solving the complex challenges we choose to take on. By welcoming people from all backgrounds and experiences, we strengthen our ability to question assumptions, push boundaries, and design solutions that endure.
If you're energised by complexity and motivated to grow, we encourage you to apply and join our global team.
