Lead semiconductor equipment installation, qualification, production ramp, maintenance, and improvement for quantum processor manufacturing.
О компании
- is building the world’s most powerful quantum processors to solve humanity's greatest challenges. We do this with our unique VIO™ technology, the only QPU architecture that breaks the hardware barriers that have held quantum computing back, unlocking the path to MegaQubit quantum processors.
- With VIO, we are paving the way for the hyper-scale quantum computers that will change the world. And delivering on that vision demands people who don’t shy away from tackling the hardest challenges of our time. That’s where you come in!
- As a Senior Semiconductor Equipment Engineer, you will take a leading role in building and scaling our semiconductor manufacturing capability. You will own some of our most critical and complex equipment from specification and installation through qualification, production ramp, maintenance, and continuous improvement. Working in a fast moving environment, you will combine strong hands-on engineering skills with technical leadership, supplier coordination, and long-term equipment strategy.
- Our equipment landscape includes advanced nanofabrication tools for lithography, plasma etching, thin film deposition, wet processing, dicing and metrology. You will be expected not only to solve equipment problems, but also to establish robust ways of working as our manufacturing organization and cleanroom infrastructure continue to scale.
Обязанности
- Take end-to-end technical ownership of new equipment installations, from requirements review and facility readiness through FAT, incoming inspection, installation, IQ/OQ, qualification, and handover to production.
- Play a key role in bringing new cleanroom and manufacturing capacity online, coordinating equipment moves, installations, facility hookups, OEM activities, commissioning, and production readiness.
- Develop and improve preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, spare-parts plans, service requirements, equipment documentation, and reliability improvement programs.
- Resolve equipment failures through systematic troubleshooting and root-cause analysis. Implement permanent corrective actions and ensure lessons learned are captured and shared.
- Act as a technical reference for other equipment engineers and technicians. Support and mentor colleagues, review technical work, and help establish strong engineering standards across the equipment organization.
- Coordinate closely with equipment manufacturers, field service engineers, contractors, and suppliers. Challenge technical proposals where necessary and ensure actions, documentation, and deliverables are completed.
- Ensure equipment requirements for electrical power, process gases, vacuum, exhaust, cooling water, chilled water, chemicals, cryogenics, and other utilities are clearly defined and correctly implemented.
- Establish and continuously improve installation procedures, maintenance standards, checklists, troubleshooting guides, equipment specifications, acceptance criteria, and engineering change practices.
- Use equipment performance data, failure history, maintenance records, and operational feedback to improve uptime, maintainability, safety, and cost of ownership.
- You are able to take a complex piece of equipment from arrival to stable production with a
- high degree of independence. You anticipate installation and facility risks before they
- become blockers, resolve technical problems methodically, build strong relationships with
- suppliers and internal stakeholders, and leave behind reliable equipment, clear
- documentation, and better engineering standards for the team.
- Don't tick every box? Apply anyway! Research shows women often self-select out if they don't meet every requirement. Here's our take: nobody ticks every box. This is a description of our ideal candidate, not a filter. If most resonates and you're keen to learn the gaps, apply. We hire for trajectory, not perfection. What We Offer:
- At , you’ll be part of a high-performing team of world-class experts in an ambitious, fast-moving environment. From day one, you’ll have the trust, tools, and support to do your best work. Here’s what you can expect:
- Competitive salary - A salary that reflects the impact and importance of the role (and of course 8% holiday allowance)
- Pension that’s built to last - A generous and future-proof pension plan that includes partner and dependent coverage.
- Flexibility built on trust - We focus on outcomes. Work flexibly, in a hybrid setup, with an open vacation policy that lets you manage your time
- Personal growth - We invest in your L&D, with a budget available to each team member, dependent on their individual ambitions, development needs, and performance
- A connected team - We make space to celebrate wins together, with team events, offsites, and spontaneous moments that bring us closer Diversity & Inclusion at
- We’re an ambitious company, not only for our goals but also to become an even more diverse and inclusive team. We know great candidates don't always follow a straight path, and we value diverse experience, perspectives, and ways of thinking. We know this helps us make better decisions, drives more innovation, and strengthens our culture. As part of our recruitment process, candidates may be required to undergo pre-employment screening.
