Eneba is a large international online marketplace for digital content for gamers, seeking a Payment Analyst to improve payment funnel health across multiple providers.
About the company
- At Eneba, we’re building an open, safe and sustainable marketplace for the gamers of today and tomorrow.
- Our marketplace supports close to 20m+ active users (and growing fast!), provides a level of trust, safety and market accessibility unparalleled to none.
- We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished in such a short time and look forward to sharing this journey with you.
- Join us as we continue to scale, diversify our portfolio, and grow with the evolving community of gamers.
About the product
- This is a newly formed team within Payment Operations, built to give Eneba end-to-end visibility into the payment funnel that supports our 20m+ active users across 17+ payment service providers.
- Today, there is no single, reliable view of funnel health — this team exists to build one: the alerting, dashboards, and reporting needed to identify issues early, quantify their business impact, and route them to the right owner for resolution, whether the root cause sits with us or with a provider.
- The team operates with a strong bias toward action and iteration — validating ideas quickly through small, working proofs of concept rather than long planning cycles, and building up from there.
Responsibilities
- Take diagnostic ownership of checkout funnel health — surfacing alerts, insights, and defects before they become business-critical.
- Lead root-cause investigations that distinguish engineering defects from user-behavior patterns, and communicate findings clearly to relevant stakeholders.
- Support the funnel's reporting cadence to cross-functional teams, translating data into insights that drive measurable improvements in authorization rate and conversion.
- Analyze authorization-rate, decline-code, and multi-PSP performance to identify the highest-impact bottlenecks in the funnel.
- Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Fraud on the diagnostic work behind funnel issues and processor outages.
- Develop into a trusted point of contact for payment funnel health within the team.
Requirements
- Payments funnel literacy: interchange, decline codes, FX, tokenization, 3DS, fraud fundamentals.
- Demonstrated root-cause analysis on funnel drop-off or decline patterns — technical vs. behavioral.
- Able to translate complex data and customer-behavior insights for audiences without deep technical or domain context.
Nice to have
- Self-serve BI/dashboard tool familiarity for personal investigation speed.
- SQL fluency for independent investigation.
- Experience navigating ambiguity in a fast-changing or high-growth environment.
- Multi-PSP comparative analysis experience.
Conditions
- Salary: EUR 40,000-60,000 Euro a year.
- We're seeking candidates with varied experience levels; from individual contributors to functional leaders in this space.
- We're an international team and our business language of choice is English. Good English level is required, proficiency is preferred.
- Opportunity to join our Employee Stock Options program.
- Opportunity to help scale a unique product.
- Various bonus systems: performance-based, referral, additional paid leave, personal learning budget.
- Paid volunteering opportunities.
- Work location of your choice: office, remote, opportunity to work and travel.
- Personal and professional growth at an exponential rate supported by well-defined feedback and promotion processes.
- We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information.
- These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgment. Final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans.
