- ’s Hardware Quality organization is responsible for product enablement, factory operations, hardware reliability, and global manufacturing excellence across our supply base and fleet. We are looking for a Principal Engineer to own and lead the strategy and technical architecture connecting supplier data, manufacturing analytics, and product reliability into a single, coherent system of insight.
- This is a hands-on strategic role. You will define how supplier and factory data flows into decision-making, build the analytical backbone for manufacturing quality and reliability, and shape how reliability modeling informs product lifecycle strategy from NPI through EOL. You will operate at the intersection of hardware engineering, data architecture, and supply chain, translating fragmented supplier and factory signals into a unified quality and reliability narrative used by engineering, operations, and executive stakeholders.
Требования
- 10+ years of experience in hardware quality, reliability engineering, manufacturing analytics, or a related field, with demonstrated Principal- or Staff-level scope.
- Deep expertise in reliability modeling and statistical methods, including Weibull analysis, MTBF/MTTF, accelerated life testing, and DPPM and yield analysis.
- A track record of building or architecting manufacturing and quality analytics platforms, not just using existing BI tools.
- Experience working directly with OxMs and component suppliers on data integration and quality data contracts.
- Strong understanding of product lifecycle management concepts, including NPI, ECR/ECO, sustaining, and EOL, and how data should inform lifecycle gates.
- Comfort operating without a fully built system; you can define the strategy, data model, and roadmap and influence others to build it.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to move fluidly between deep technical detail and executive-level narrative.
Будет плюсом
- Experience in high-density compute, GPU, or data center hardware environments.
- Familiarity with PLM platforms.
- Background in statistical software and tooling, including Minitab, JMP, or Python/R for reliability analysis.
- Experience with cold-spares planning or hub-and-spoke supply chain models.
- Wondering if you’re a good fit? We believe in investing in our people and value candidates who can bring their own diversified experiences to our teams – even if you aren't a 100% skill or experience match. Here are a few qualities we’ve found compatible with our team. If some of this describes you, we’d love to talk.
- You’re curious about how data, hardware engineering, manufacturing, and reliability come together to improve products at scale.
- You’re comfortable creating clarity and technical direction when the systems, data, and processes are still evolving.
- You’re an expert at translating complex technical concepts into decisions that improve reliability, customer outcomes, and business performance.
