Responsibilities
- Learn the payroll cycle from end to end: support the monthly payroll process, including the preparation, validation and review of payroll inputs and documentation.
- Help keep payroll data accurate: maintain employee and payroll information across systems and ensure changes are correctly reflected and documented.
- Support the employee lifecycle: manage payroll and administrative side of hires, contract changes, leaves, absences and terminations.
- Learn Spanish labour and Social Security administration: support Social Security and other payroll administrative processes while developing knowledge of payroll practices.
- Help ensure payroll accuracy: support payroll checks and reconciliations, identify discrepancies and learn to investigate and resolve them.
- Keep payroll operations organised: maintain payroll documentation, trackers and internal controls so information is accurate, accessible and reliable.
- Support employees: respond to payroll-related questions and collaborate with People Operations, Finance and external partners as needed.
- Grow ownership: progressively take responsibility for more complex payroll activities as knowledge develops.
- Contribute to process improvements and automation with curiosity and fresh ideas.
Requirements
- Beginning of career, interested in developing expertise in Payroll and People Operations.
- Studied or studying Labour Relations, Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field.
- Comfortable working with numbers, spreadsheets and detailed information with attention to accuracy.
- Organised, proactive, curious, comfortable asking questions.
- Enjoy understanding how and why things work rather than just following processes.
- Handle confidential information responsibly.
- Professional working proficiency in Spanish and good level of English.
- Previous exposure to A3innuva or other payroll software is a plus.
- Previous experience in Payroll or HR administration is welcome but not required; potential, attitude and willingness to learn are valued more.

- Hybrid working model based in Barcelona: typically 3 days at office and 2 days from home.
- Not a remote position; candidates should be based in Barcelona or willing to relocate with commitment to hybrid setup.
