- We’re looking for a Staff Site Reliability Expert to join our Platform team in Auckland. In this role, you’ll help shape how we build and operate reliable systems at scale, working across AWS infrastructure, platform engineering and software to make it easier for our product teams to build, ship and operate great products. You’ll have the autonomy to tackle complex problems, influence technical direction across teams and help us continuously improve the resilience, scalability and efficiency of our platform.
- Strong AWS experience operating highly available, scalable production systems.
- Experience in a SaaS or product-led environment, working cross-functionally and navigating change.
- Strong Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform and configuration management tooling.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, ECS and Linux systems.
- Ability to code in Python, Ruby or Go, alongside complex Shell scripting.
- Experience with observability, incident management, disaster recovery and security practices.
- Experience with datastores such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis or DynamoDB, plus cloud cost optimisation.
- Understanding of Agile, continuous delivery and testing, with strong communication, judgement and prioritisation skills.
- We know strong candidates don’t always tick every box. If you have strong AWS, infrastructure and engineering foundations and think your experience could translate well to this role, we’d still love to hear from you.
- You’ll enjoy:
- High autonomy and the freedom to work out the best way to solve complex technical problems.
- Working across a broad range of infrastructure, reliability and platform challenges rather than being confined to one domain.
- Joining a highly skilled engineering team that values collaboration, knowledge sharing and different perspectives.
- The opportunity to influence technical direction while continuing to grow your own expertise.
- High autonomy with a flexible, hybrid workplace model, allowing you to work remotely or from one of our modern offices.
- Genuine career growth opportunities within a company that's continuously expanding.
- Making a meaningful impact by helping merchants grow their businesses through creating or improving products and addressing customer feedback.
- Being part of a team large enough for growth yet agile enough for real impact.
- Working on high-traffic products with a global user base.
- Obviously, this has to be mutually beneficial: we want you to step into a role you love, and we want to offer you a place you’re proud to come to every day. For a glimpse into our world check out our career page.
