Требования
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAN, ACCA, CA or equivalent), with a demonstrable track record in finance management or a senior finance role, including hands-on ownership of statutory and management reporting cycles.
- Deep, applied IFRS knowledge — particularly IFRS 9, IFRS 16, IAS 21, and revenue recognition — and proven ability to manage audit processes end-to-end, from file preparation to auditor queries.
- Exceptional financial modelling and communication skills: you can build a complex multi-scenario model in Excel and present its conclusions clearly to a CFO or a lender in the same week.
- Big 4 training (PwC, Deloitte, EY, KPMG) is a strong advantage. Working knowledge of the Nigerian fintech, lending, or asset-financing sector is a plus, though not required — curiosity and commercial instincts matter more.

- You've built the controls. You've closed the books. You've explained the numbers to boards who didn't want to hear them. But have you ever built financial rigor into a business that's simultaneously scaling, lending, and putting life-changing assets into the hands of millions of customers who've never had access to credit before?
- That's the question at the centre of this role.
- Nigeria is a core market for — sub-Saharan Africa's largest asset fintech. We finance smartphones, solar power systems, and other essential assets for customers who pay daily via mobile money, building credit history and unlocking opportunity along the way. Nigeria is one of the fastest-growing and most strategically important markets in 's footprint, with a large and expanding customer base and loan book.
- has crossed 10 million customers, unlocked more than $2 billion in credit, and is on a deliberate path to 10 million more. Nigeria is a critical piece of that next chapter — a market scaling fast, with its own reporting cycle, its own regulatory environment, and its own commercial dynamics. That's not a legacy structure: it's a business being built and refined in real time, with real customers, real repayment behaviour, and real IFRS obligations.
- We are hiring a Finance Manager to own the financial management of the Nigeria business — not just to maintain a finance function, but to strengthen and scale one.
- This is a hands-on, high-ownership position. You will be a finance lead for the Nigeria entity — responsible for the monthly management reporting pack, executive commentary, the IFRS 9 Expected Credit Loss model, treasury and compliance matters, and the unit economics that inform commercial decisions across the market.
- You'll manage the end-to-end monthly close: accruals, prepayments, intercompany, depreciation, FX. You'll produce variance analysis that isolates market-specific effects from one-off items. You'll monitor the loan book, analyse repayment behaviour by cohort, and own provisioning and bad debt trends. You'll support statutory and regulatory reporting, manage documentation for funding and compliance processes, and support due diligence as needed.
- And then — because this is Nigeria — you'll also be a commercial partner. You'll sit alongside the commercial team to interrogate unit economics, model new product launches, assess pricing and supply decisions, and build the financial cases for leadership and board discussions.
- This is not a role where the strategy happens upstairs and the finance team keeps score. You'll shape both.
- Most finance roles at this level have inherited structures, established processes, and reporting cadences that largely run themselves. This one asks for more ownership than that. You'll identify automation opportunities, strengthen controls, and ensure IFRS compliance in areas where judgement genuinely matters: IFRS 9, IFRS 16, IAS 21, revenue recognition, IFRS 18 readiness.
- You'll also have direct exposure to one of Africa's largest and most dynamic fintech markets, working alongside local and regional leadership to navigate a fast-changing regulatory and commercial landscape. That's a professional education you can't buy.
- This role will ask a lot of you. The business is scaling fast, the reporting obligations are real, and the market's dynamics require precision. There will be months where the close feels tight and the audit feels relentless. You'll be operating across strategic and operational levels simultaneously — and some days the most important thing on your plate will be debugging a provisioning model, not presenting to leadership.
- If that sounds manageable, it probably is. If it sounds energising — you're probably the right person.
- A front-row seat in strengthening the financial infrastructure of one of Africa's largest asset fintech businesses, in one of its most important markets. A mission where every asset financed is a tangible improvement in a customer's daily life. And genuine ownership — the kind where your judgement shapes how this entity reports, controls, and makes decisions, not just maintains them.
