About the product

Responsibilities
- Frontend Development (Primary Focus): Implement new product features and support existing ones.
- Build frontend platform components used across internal and external products and ecommerce storefronts like Shopify and Salesforce.
- Collaborate with other senior engineers to contribute to architecture and maintain code quality.
- Work with product and design teams to translate wireframes and mockups into functional UI components.
- Backend Development (Secondary Focus): Develop and maintain backend services using Golang and Node.js.
- Understand google cloud platform (GCP), CI/CD, and deploy code and infrastructure components.
- Work with databases such as postgres, spanner, bigquery.
- Understand and implement RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
Requirements
- Degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent.
- 10+ years of experience building reliable, scalable, and high-quality systems.
- Experience building consumer-facing applications with frontend frameworks such as React (preferable), Svelte, Angular, Vue, or Ember.
- Experience with NodeJS or Golang for backend development.
- Experience developing applications consuming various APIs from microservice backend systems.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus.
- Knowledge of full development life cycle and computer science fundamentals.
- Strong focus on code quality and code reviews.
- Experience mentoring other engineers.
- Previous startup experience with growth and product engineering mindset preferred.
Conditions
- Fully remote position for candidates located in Canada.
- Work hours aligned with EST/EDT or PST time zones.
- Estimated annual salary range $180,000 — $215,000 CAD, excluding bonuses, equity, and benefits.
