- As part of QRT’s Security team, you will help protect the core of our global technology infrastructure. Working alongside our Cloud, Infrastructure, and Network Operations teams, we design and implement the security controls that defend QRT’s high-performance platforms against evolving threats. By embedding security into every stage of our engineering and operations, we enable QRT to innovate and trade at scale with confidence and integrity.
- The Security team safeguards QRT’s systems, data, and operations against cyber threats. We operate across security engineering, operations, and awareness, implementing measures to prevent, detect, and respond to vulnerabilities and incidents. Our scope includes vulnerability management, incident response, security tooling, and organization-wide awareness initiatives. Through a proactive and collaborative approach, we ensure QRT’s technology environment remains secure, resilient, and compliant.
- Passion for Technology: Demonstrated interest in technology and engineering through achievements in software or hardware projects, whether academic, personal, or hobby-based — formal Computer Science training is not essential.
- Technical Skills: Examples of relevant experience include: Basic understanding of key security principles and technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanning tools, password management, data encryption, and secure coding practices.
- Programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, or others)
- Linux command-line (RedHat/CentOS)
- Understanding of Linux/Unix system administration fundamentals
- Familiarity with command-line tools and shell scripting (Bash, Python preferred)
- Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, Ethernet)
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and optimize designs for performance, resource usage, and power efficiency.
- Mindset: Proactive, curious, and unafraid to ask questions. Able to identify and implement optimisations that improve performance.
- Approach: Self-motivated, results-driven, and entrepreneurial in spirit.
