- We’re now hiring our first Head of Operations . You’ll work directly with the CEO and have a broad mandate to help build the operating foundation for the next stage of .
- This is a role for someone who wants to be close to the decisions, take real ownership, and help shape a company rather than simply operate within one.
- Own financial planning across revenue, costs, cash and headcount
- Build models and scenario analyses that inform company decisions
- Develop a deep understanding of the economics of the business
- Lead important vendor and commercial negotiations
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and allocate resources more effectively
- Turn analysis into clear recommendations for the CEO and leadership team
- Design and own the company’s operating cadence, including planning, goals and progress tracking
- Build lightweight systems that create accountability without unnecessary bureaucracy
- Create visibility into priorities, risks and areas that need attention
- Drive cross-functional initiatives spanning different parts of the company
- Take ownership of important projects that do not fit neatly into another function
- Help evolve how operates as the company grows
- Help coordinate execution around strategic customers and partnerships
- Build scalable processes for working with large financial institutions
- Own a range of operational, legal and administrative work across the business
- Partner with external advisors and service providers where needed
- Translate company plans into headcount and hiring priorities
- Help run recruiting, compensation, offers and onboarding
- Improve the systems around how we hire and operate as a team
- Build additional operational capabilities as the company grows
- You are highly analytical, commercially sharp and comfortable operating with incomplete information.
- You probably:
- Have experience in a high-growth technology company or similarly demanding operating environment
- Can build and interrogate a financial model rather than simply consume one
- Are comfortable moving between analytical, commercial and operational problems
- Identify important problems without obvious owners and take responsibility for solving them
- Can turn messy information into a clear recommendation
- Are organized without being bureaucratic
- Have strong judgment and are comfortable challenging assumptions
- Prefer building systems to maintaining systems somebody else designed
- We care more about judgment, ownership and ability than a specific background.
- You could come from business operations, finance, strategy, a Chief of Staff role, an operating role at a startup, or another path that gave you broad exposure to how companies work.
- Build a clear understanding of how operates across financials, customers, vendors, hiring, and company priorities
- Establish a small set of operating metrics and identify the highest-leverage opportunities to improve how the company runs
- Take ownership of several immediate priorities currently sitting with the CEO
- Own the company’s core operating cadence, including planning, financial visibility, and progress tracking
- Drive measurable improvements in at least 2–3 priority areas across cost, execution, hiring, or company operations
- Become the CEO’s primary operational partner and independently run major cross-functional initiatives
