We're hiring a Cybersecurity Engineer in Nicosia, Cyprus for a boutique IT consulting company specializing in network infrastructure and security.
About the company
- Boutique IT consulting company (est. 2005) specialising in Network Infrastructure, Security, Information Governance & Business Continuity
- Trusted partner of HPE, Microsoft, Sophos, Veeam & 3CX
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of designing, implementing and hardening network & security infrastructure for the company's clients
- Work hands-on with next-gen firewalls, VPNs, and a full stack of network protection tech, from switching & routing basics to advanced threat prevention and cloud edge security
Requirements
- 2-3+ years in a similar role
- Hands-on experience with NGFW & security policy management
- Strong grasp of OSI/TCP-IP, NAT/PAT, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/S, FTP/SFTP, SMTP, SNMP, NTP, ICMP, ARP
- VLANs, trunking, STP/RSTP, port security, routing (static & dynamic)
- VPN tech: IPsec, SSL/TLS
- TLS/SSL encryption, cert management & TLS inspection
- Web/email filtering, IPS/IDS, NAC
- DDoS protection & rate limiting
- Strong troubleshooting skills + ability to work independently
- English — Intermediate+
Nice to have
- Familiarity with WAF, CASB, SASE/SSE, DLP
