KAZ Minerals is seeking an experienced Chief Ventilation and Occupational Health Engineer to lead technical activities in underground mining, focusing on ventilation strategies and occupational health.
Responsibilities
- Developing and optimizing mine ventilation strategies and life-of-mine ventilation plans
- Leading ventilation compliance, monitoring, and risk management initiatives
- Managing ventilation-related health and safety risks, including dust, gases, and heat exposure
- Supporting operational improvement through best practices and innovative technologies
- Providing technical guidance to ventilation teams across multiple sites
Requirements
- Degree in Mining Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
- 10+ years of underground mine ventilation experience
- Strong knowledge of ventilation design, occupational health, and underground mining operations
- Experience with Ventsim and other mining software is an advantage
