Responsible for maintaining internal technology systems including identity and access, devices, security, networking, and day-to-day support during a team gap in a commodity trading platform company.

- 5+ years in TechOps / workplace technology, including senior-level ownership — you can walk into an existing setup and run it, not just build one from scratch.
- Hands-on Microsoft Entra ID administration — SSO, Conditional Access, MFA, identity lifecycle.
- Strong Microsoft Intune and Microsoft 365 / Exchange Online administration.
- Solid networking fundamentals — DNS, VPNs, Wi-Fi, firewalls.
- Comfortable around AWS (IAM, IAM Identity Center) and basic infrastructure concepts.
- Scripting/automation (PowerShell, Bash or Python, Power Automate), ideally against the Microsoft Graph API.
- Able to get up to speed quickly, work independently, and keep things running with minimal handover time.
- Excellent communication and a genuine service mindset — calm and methodical under pressure.

- About the role
- We need an experienced TechOps engineer to step in and keep our internal technology running — identity and access, devices, security, networking and day-to-day support — while we manage a gap in the team.
- This is a cover role, not a transformation project. Our systems, processes and standards are already in place; we need someone who can pick them up fast, run them reliably, and hand back a team that hasn't missed a beat. You'll be hands-on from day one: some days that's a Conditional Access policy or an access review, other days it's boxing up a laptop for a new joiner or triaging a security ticket.
- You're comfortable across the full stack of workplace technology — Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Microsoft 365 — and confident enough around AWS, VPNs and DNS to talk to our infrastructure team without missing a beat.

- What you'll do
- Identity & access Keep Microsoft Entra ID running smoothly — joiners, movers and leavers, SSO, Conditional Access, MFA, groups and access reviews. Manage AWS access federated to Entra ID via IAM Identity Center.
- Devices & endpoints Maintain device management through Microsoft Intune — provisioning via Autopilot, compliance baselines, patching and asset tracking. Administer Apple Business Manager, automated device enrolment, Managed Apple IDs, VPP licences, and hardware ordering.
- Microsoft 365 & SaaS administration Keep Microsoft 365 running (Exchange Online/Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive) — mailboxes, groups, licences and tenant configuration. Administer the rest of the toolchain: Atlassian (Jira/Confluence), Slack and GitHub.
- Onboarding & offboarding Deliver a smooth, secure joiner/leaver process end to end — Entra accounts, Intune-enrolled hardware, M365 mailbox, VPN and app access — without interruption while the permanent hire is sorted.
- Networking & connectivity Manage office network, Wi-Fi and VPN access, and troubleshoot connectivity for on-site and remote staff.
- Support & operations Be the senior escalation point for internal technical support. Keep runbooks and documentation current. Handle the practical, hands-on side of TechOps — sourcing peripherals, preparing and shipping hardware, keeping equipment stock.
- Security & compliance Maintain our access, MFA and endpoint-hardening standards through Entra ID and Intune, and support any audits that come up during the contract.
