Responsibilities
- Building and developing streaming data pipelines
- Creating ingestion pipelines from APIs, webhooks, and SDKs
- Gradually moving ingestion from SaaS tools to our own infrastructure
- Working with our AWS streaming stack: Kinesis, SQS, Lambda, API Gateway
- Developing infrastructure as code with Terraform
- Ensuring reliable data delivery into Snowflake
- Monitoring production pipelines and troubleshooting incidents
- Contributing to data infrastructure for AI agents and internal AI tools
Requirements
- 5+ years of commercial experience with Python in backend or data engineering
- Strong understanding of distributed systems
- Hands-on experience with AWS or another cloud platform
- Experience building streaming pipelines
- Experience with Terraform or other IaC tools
- Strong SQL skills
- Experience working with real-world production data, including late, duplicated, or incorrect events
- Ability to make architectural decisions independently and take ownership of production systems
Nice to have
- Experience with Snowflake, dbt, Airflow / Dagster / Prefect, and sensitive or regulated data.
