Cold Contact is a new faceless documentary channel about UFO and unexplained aerial cases, produced by the Hungarian production house Tulipán Tündér. They are hiring a Motion-Graphics / Documentary Editor to build a brand-new channel from episode #1, focusing on long-form documentary episodes with motion graphics and colour grading.
About the company
- Cold Contact is a new faceless documentary channel about UFO and unexplained-aerial cases — sober "true crime of the sky."
- The channel is produced by Tulipán Tündér, a Hungarian production house running since 2013 with 14 productions and 1,000,000+ total audience.
- Tulipán Tündér has feature films, a TV series on national television (TV2), and international exhibitions including Banksy, NASA "Gateway to Space", Avatar.
About the product
- Every episode is built from archival stills, licensed footage, maps and motion graphics, graded to feel like a real declassified case file.
- No 2D animation, character animation, or whiteboard used.
- Focus on one documented, unresolved case per film, opened like a classified dossier and closed with "you decide."
Responsibilities
- Edit 4–6 long-form documentary episodes per month (10–12 minutes each).
- Perform cold, filmic colour grading across stills and archival footage using one consistent LUT, grain, vignette.
- Create motion graphics in After Effects including redaction-bar reveals, CASE FILE stamps, evidence tags, map/route draws, radar sweeps, timestamp and coordinate overlays, and audio-waveform visuals.
- Source-cut and mix archival footage with stills for visual variety.
- Sound design tight to the narration using drone beds and deliberate silence.
Requirements
- Experience as a documentary/motion-graphics editor using Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve and After Effects.
- Strong skills in cinematic pacing, colour grading, and clean typography.
- Not a character animator, whiteboard/explainer animator, or fast-cut gaming/MrBeast-style retention editor.
Nice to have
- Experience using AI tools in workflow such as upscaling, restoration, generative fill on archival stills, AI b-roll for texture inserts.
Conditions
- Month 1 trial: $150–180 per episode.
- Month 2+: $800–1,500 per month plus viral bonuses.
- Fully remote, flexible schedule, steady long-term batches.
- Growth path to lead editor/channel producer.
