Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Directors to define gameplay pillars
- Translate the game vision into clear design goals
- Work with other domain Leads to solve development challenges
- Lead and mentor a team of designers
- Provide regular feedback and support to the design team
- Collaborate with other departments on foundational gameplay systems
- Review gameplay, combat, systems, story, and level design
- Maintain consistency across the overall player experience
- Define actionable solutions within production constraints
Requirements
- Experience as a Lead Designer or Design Director
- At least eight years of experience in gameplay or systems design
- Experience with combat design
- Strong design team management skills
- Ability to work in a hybrid model in Warsaw
- Experience working on indie or AA games
- Understanding of indie and AA production constraints and advantages
- Polish and English at B2 level or higher
- Ability to create clear project documentation
- Ability to define technical requirements
- Ability to work within project and time constraints
- Strong communication skills
- Strong knowledge of current games and industry trends
Nice to have
- Experience with Unreal Engine
- Experience defining gameplay pillars for new intellectual properties
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary Leads
- Experience developing foundational gameplay systems
