11 bit studios is looking for a Senior Stealth & Combat Designer to drive the design and implementation of stealth and combat gameplay systems for an unannounced project, collaborating across multiple teams in a hybrid work format based in Warsaw, Poland.

Responsibilities
- Design and develop stealth and combat systems
- Create NPC behaviours and enemy archetypes
- Design encounters and combat spaces
- Define player feedback and moment-to-moment gameplay pacing
- Balance stealth and combat gameplay loops
- Drive gameplay features from concept to final polish
- Collaborate with gameplay and AI programmers
- Work closely with animation, level design, UI and UX, VFX, audio, and production
- Maintain the overall quality and consistency of stealth and combat systems
- Prototype, test, and iterate on gameplay solutions
- Create concise and actionable gameplay documentation
Requirements
- At least 7 years of professional experience in combat design, gameplay design, technical design, AI design, or a related discipline
- Experience shipping at least two PC or console titles
- Experience owning a major gameplay feature from concept to release
- Strong experience designing stealth gameplay, combat gameplay, or both
- Deep understanding of player agency, gameplay readability, encounter design, and moment-to-moment pacing
- Experience designing NPC behaviours, enemy archetypes, and AI-driven gameplay systems
- Practical experience working directly in Unreal Engine
- Strong knowledge of Blueprints, Behavior Trees, State Trees, or equivalent gameplay scripting tools
- Hands-on gameplay implementation experience
- Ability to define and maintain the long-term vision of complex gameplay systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to identify gameplay issues and prototype solutions
- Strong multidisciplinary communication skills
- Ability to independently own complex gameplay features
- Ability to balance creative goals with technical and production constraints
- English and Polish communication skills at B2 level or higher
- Portfolio demonstrating relevant gameplay design and implementation work

- Portfolio examples of implemented combat mechanics
- Portfolio examples of enemy archetypes and AI behaviours
- Examples showing gameplay iteration and problem-solving
- Experience working on stealth-focused games
- Experience designing complex combat encounters
