11 bit studios is looking for a Senior Stealth and Combat Designer to join an unannounced project in a hybrid working model. The role involves owning the quality and consistency of stealth and combat gameplay, driving complex features from concept to polish.

Responsibilities
- Design and develop stealth and combat systems
- Create NPC behaviours and enemy archetypes
- Design encounters and combat spaces
- Improve player feedback, gameplay readability, and moment-to-moment pacing
- Balance stealth and combat gameplay loops
- Drive gameplay features from concept to final polish
- Implement and iterate gameplay systems directly in Unreal Engine
- Collaborate with gameplay and AI programmers
- Work closely with animation, level design, UI and UX, VFX, audio, and production teams
- Define and maintain the long-term vision for complex gameplay systems
- Prototype solutions and iterate based on testing and player feedback
- Create concise and actionable gameplay documentation
- Ensure gameplay systems remain consistent with technical and production constraints
Requirements
- At least 7 years of professional experience in Combat Design, Gameplay Design, Technical Design, AI Design, or a related discipline
- Experience shipping at least two PC or console games
- Experience owning a significant gameplay feature from concept through release
- Strong experience designing stealth gameplay, combat gameplay, or both
- Deep understanding of player agency, gameplay readability, encounter design, and pacing
- Experience designing NPC behaviours, enemy archetypes, and AI-driven gameplay systems
- Practical experience working directly in Unreal Engine
- Strong knowledge of Blueprints, Behavior Trees, State Trees, or equivalent gameplay scripting tools
- Hands-on gameplay implementation experience
- Ability to define and drive the long-term vision of complex gameplay systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to quickly identify gameplay issues and prototype solutions
- Strong communication and multidisciplinary collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong ownership mindset
- Ability to balance creative goals with technical constraints and production requirements
- Experience creating clear gameplay documentation
- English and Polish proficiency at B2 level or higher
- Portfolio demonstrating relevant gameplay design and implementation work

- Portfolio examples of implemented combat mechanics
- Portfolio examples of enemy archetypes and AI behaviours
- Examples of hands-on gameplay implementation
- Examples demonstrating iteration, testing, and problem-solving processes
- Experience working on large-scale stealth or combat-focused projects
