About the company
- Our client is a U.S.-based commercial fencing contractor serving a wide range of commercial construction projects. Working directly with the ownership team, you'll play a key role in preparing accurate estimates, material takeoffs, and pre-construction documentation that support successful project bids.
Responsibilities
- We are seeking a detail-oriented Commercial Fence Estimator with experience estimating U.S. commercial construction projects. This role is responsible for reviewing civil and landscape plans, preparing accurate material takeoffs, and supporting the estimating and pre-construction process from bid preparation through project handoff.
- The ideal candidate is highly proficient in Bluebeam , experienced in reading civil and landscape plan sets, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
- Perform accurate material takeoffs from civil and landscape plan sets.
- Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to identify fencing scopes.
- Mark up plans using Bluebeam for estimating and project review.
- Prepare estimates using company pricing and estimating systems.
- Compile estimating data into TRUE estimating software or similar platforms.
- Assist with submittals, RFIs, and other pre-construction documentation for awarded projects.
- Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and subcontractors as needed.
- Maintain organized estimating files and meet project deadlines.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience estimating U.S. commercial construction projects.
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- Strong ability to read and interpret civil and landscape plans.
- Advanced proficiency with Bluebeam.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Able to work full-time during U.S. Central Time.
- Detail-oriented and highly accurate estimator.
- Strong problem-solving and plan-reading skills.
- Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced commercial construction environment.
