Requirements
- BA/BS in Finance/Accounting or equivalent working experience required.
- Relevant professional qualifications in finance, such as CA/ACCA/CPA required.
- 5+ years of accounting/finance experience required.
- Business proficiency in the English language required.
- In-depth understanding of month-end close, general ledger, intercompany transactions, transfer pricing, accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
- Demonstrated experience performing flux/variance analysis and communicating findings to finance leadership.
- Experience in foreign currency transactions and understanding of IFRS or US GAAP.
- Experience in coordinating corporate tax preparation and local statutory accounting reporting in countries such as Canada, Mexico, Chile, Uruguay, El Salvador or Puerto Rico preferred.
- Experience managing external accounting and tax advisors, including audit and PBC (prepared-by-client) request processes.
- Experience partnering with cross-functional teams (Payroll, Benefits, Legal) in a multi-entity environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and NetSuite experience preferred.
- Hands-on proficiency with AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) applied to accounting workflows preferred.
- Display appropriate ethical knowledge through extraordinary integrity and professional conduct.
- Demonstrate track record of ownership and self-motivation.

- We are looking for a Senior Accountant - Americas to join our growing Corporate Accounting team. You will be based in Medellin, Colombia.
- This full-time position will lead a broad range of corporate finance responsibilities such as monthly close process, preparation and reporting of local financial statements, ensuring legal entity compliance and facilitating preparation of tax returns, and reconciliation between local and internal books across certain entities in the Americas region. The candidate will establish and maintain partnership with local service providers representing the Accounting organization. You will report to our Assistant Global Controller.
- This role will begin as fully remote. Once we open our office in Medellín, Colombia, the role will transition to a hybrid work model, with an expectation to work from the office on designated days.
- Own end-to-end monthly close and general ledger integrity for the assigned Americas entities, ensuring on-time, accurate close cycles.
- Own timely execution of vendor, employee, and statutory payments across assigned entities.
- Prepare journal entries. Process, research and record vendor bills, payments, and expenses.
- Ensure accurate monthly financial reporting deliverables, including reconciliations, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations, including reviewing accounts payable and accounts receivable accounts.
- Perform monthly flux/variance analysis, identifying and explaining material movements.
- Own the prepared-by-client (PBC) request list and partner with local accounting and tax advisors on preparation and review of local statutory financial statements and tax filings — including VAT returns on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, and support required audits.
- Ensure monthly and annual transfer pricing (TP) compliance, including intercompany invoicing, agreement adherence, and coordination of local TP documentation with external advisors.
- Partner cross-functionally with Payroll, Benefits, and Legal to ensure shared accountability on entity-level matters.
- Identify and assist with process improvement projects across the Americas Region.
- Support special projects and ad hoc initiatives as needed by the Finance department.
