Responsibilities
- As a founding product engineer at Flick, you’ll sit at the intersection of engineering, design, and filmmaking. You won’t just build features — you’ll shape how people create films with AI. You will work directly with the founders, and have the opportunity to shape the future interface for AI visual storytelling.
Requirements
- Strong full stack engineering skills (React, TypeScript, backend frameworks).
- Exceptional product sense and attention to UX details .
- Experience building creative tools. Can become an expert in creative technology in AI video production.
- Strong intuition for what makes a product feel simple, powerful, and delightful.
- Startup mindset: high ownership, high agency, high velocity.
Nice to have
- Love films and art.
- You are a creator yourself : filmmaker, video editor, animator, designer, or similar.
- Have experience in AI video generation.
- Have been a founder before.
- Have contributed in open-source projects, and coding for fun outside of regular work.
Other
- Design and build product features end-to-end across frontend and backend.
- Rapidly prototype and iterate on new creative workflows with tight feedback loops.
- Work closely with founders on product direction, UX decisions, and feature prioritization.
- Translate ambiguous ideas into intuitive, high-quality user experiences.
- Continuously refine interaction details, polish, and usability.
- Help define the future of AI-native creative tools.
