  • The Operating Room Assistant provides general patient care support under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse. This role assists with operating room setup and turnover, equipment and supply maintenance, case preparation, and patient positioning to support safe and efficient surgical services.
  • Schedule: Monday- Friday 7a-3:30p
  • Assist with OR suite setup, turnover, and restocking of supplies
  • Prepare equipment and pull cases for scheduled procedures
  • Support patient preparation, transport, and positioning
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized surgical environment
  • Follow all safety, infection control, and exposure control protocols
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to meet daily surgical goals
  • Provide courteous, respectful service to patients, families, and staff
  • Complete required training and perform other duties as assigned
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • BLS certification
  • Basic computer skills (email, Word, scheduling systems)
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Strong teamwork, reliability, and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with patient transfers
  • Prolonged standing, walking, bending, and reaching
  • Exposure to clinical environments, including infectious materials (Category 1), with appropriate training and PPE
  • Flexible schedule to meet daily surgery needs
