Founding Operations Lead at Structured AI to establish and optimize operational processes and automate workflows in a fast-growing AI construction engineering startup.
Responsibilities
- This is the first operations hire and a true founding-team seat. You'll be the connective tissue of the company and a direct extension of the founders - the person who turns chaos into process, takes the operational load off the founders' plates, and makes sure nothing falls through the cracks as we scale.
- The job is broad by design. One week you're owning the logistics for a conference or customer event; the next you're mapping our client-deployment process and rebuilding it to be faster and more repeatable; the next you're automating a monotonous internal workflow so no human has to touch it again. You should be the kind of person who sees a recurring manual task and can't help but systematize it.
- We're an AI-native company and we expect this role to be AI-native too. You won't just use AI tools - you'll build small automations, agents, and workflows that compound across the company. We care far more about how quickly you learn and how well you think in systems than about a specific résumé.
- Be an extension of the founders - manage priorities, draft and triage email and external communications, prep for meetings, and own the follow-through on everything that gets decided. Get shit done!!!
- Handle operations end to end for a conference and event logistics, travel, office and vendor management, scheduling, and the dozens of small things that keep a fast company moving.
- Automate the monotonous - identify repetitive, manual work across the team and replace it with AI-driven workflows and tooling.
- Implement process across the company - design and roll out the operating cadences, systems, and documentation we don't have yet, and make them stick.
- Make GTM and client deployments efficient - bring structure to go-to-market motions and streamline how we onboard and deploy customers so delivery is faster and more consistent as we grow.
Requirements
- Obsessed with excellence and quality. You're meticulously detail-oriented and take deep pride in the work you ship, every email, deliverable, and deployment reflects on the company, and you hold it to a high bar without being asked.
- Exceptionally organized and process-driven. You build systems, not just to-do lists, and you take genuine satisfaction in turning a messy workflow into a clean one.
- 1 or 2 years in investment banking or management consulting (or a comparably high-rigor, fast-paced environment). You know how to operate under pressure, manage detail at scale, and produce polished work.
- AI-native and a fast learner. You reach for AI tools by default, pick up new ones quickly, and are comfortable building lightweight automations yourself.
- A strong, clear communicator - in writing especially. You can represent the founders externally and internally with judgment and tact.
- High-ownership and low-ego. No task is too small; you'll do the unglamorous work and design the system that means no one has to do it again.
- Based in New York and excited to work in person, full-time, with the founding team.
- You get shit done, and make us worry free!!
Conditions
- You'll get a founding-team seat, meaningful equity, and a front-row view of how an AI company is built - with the mandate to shape how the entire company operates as we scale.
- Experience: 1–2 years (IB or consulting background preferred)
- Visa: US citizen or already authorized to work in the US
Other
- We're building the AI workforce for construction engineering - AI agents that read complex mechanical, electrical, structural, and civil drawings to run automated QA/QC, code-compliance, and design-consistency checks. Our goal is to become the go-to software platform for design engineers. We're a YC F25 company, ~10 people, based in New York and moving fast. We founded this company after working in the space for over 7 years, and experiencing first hand the monotonous tasks driving people out of the industry.
