Network Engineer role at a leading quantitative trading firm focused on building and maintaining high-performance electronic trading infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Work with the global Networks team to monitor and troubleshoot network issues.
- Provide support for production, office, and end-user networking environments.
- Assist with network changes, including moves, adds, and modifications.
- Participate in market connectivity testing and circuit migrations.
- Support data center operations, including migrations and infrastructure changes.
Requirements
- Basic experience with supporting and troubleshooting networks.
- Understanding of client-server architecture.
- Familiarity with Arista EOS and Cisco NX-OS/IOS.
- Knowledge of routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, MSDP, and PIM.
- Exposure to VPN configuration and troubleshooting.
- Awareness of data center installation and cabling standards.
- Basic knowledge of Unix/Linux systems.
- Exposure to multicast networking and Python scripting (preferred).
- CCNA/CCNP certification and system administration experience (preferred).
- Background in finance (a plus, not required).
