Network Engineer role at a leading quantitative trading firm focused on building and maintaining high-performance electronic trading infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the global Networks team to monitor and troubleshoot network issues.
  • Provide support for production, office, and end-user networking environments.
  • Assist with network changes, including moves, adds, and modifications.
  • Participate in market connectivity testing and circuit migrations.
  • Support data center operations, including migrations and infrastructure changes.

Requirements

  • Basic experience with supporting and troubleshooting networks.
  • Understanding of client-server architecture.
  • Familiarity with Arista EOS and Cisco NX-OS/IOS.
  • Knowledge of routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, MSDP, and PIM.
  • Exposure to VPN configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Awareness of data center installation and cabling standards.
  • Basic knowledge of Unix/Linux systems.
  • Exposure to multicast networking and Python scripting (preferred).
  • CCNA/CCNP certification and system administration experience (preferred).
  • Background in finance (a plus, not required).
