Electrical Engineer II responsible for design, development, and testing of high-reliability electrical systems for spacecraft programs.
Responsibilities
- Execute requirements capture, component selection, analysis, schematic capture, prototyping, bring-up, debugging, documentation, manufacturing, and test for electrical designs
- Support the rapid design, development, and testing of high-reliability electrical systems for spacecraft engineering and development efforts
- Collaborate with system architecture development across cross-functional teams
- Participate in preliminary and critical design reviews to support program requirements
- Conduct derating analysis and worst-case circuit analysis
- Support system-level integration of electrical subsystems, including hardware and software interfaces
- Perform first article testing, unit-level testing, and production testing
- Contribute to the development and execution of validation and qualification testing campaigns to ensure reliable hardware
- Develop and maintain documentation for electrical systems and components, including design specifications, test plans, and operating procedures
- Support hardware through production, integration, and launch
- Collaborate with experts from other teams and departments to improve system efficiency, manufacturability, and reliability, and to ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and quality assurance processes
- Contribute to continuous improvement of electrical engineering processes and practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 2-4 years of professional experience in electrical engineering
- Proficiency with PCB design in Altium Designer or equivalent
- Solid understanding of applicable codes and standards including PCB and PCBA design
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain or obtain TS//SCI clearance
- Work Location —this role will be onsite at our Centennial, CO location , with travel to other sites as needed.

Nice to have
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Experience with spacecraft electrical system design and testing
- Familiarity with spacecraft power systems, avionics, and communication subsystems
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to spacecraft electrical systems
- Embedded firmware development experience
- Experience with simulation tools such as SPICE, MATLAB, and Simulink
- Knowledge of IPC standards and specifications including IPC-610, IPC J-STD-001, and other relevant PCB design and assembly standards
- Experience working in a fast-paced, startup environment or a similarly dynamic setting
Conditions
- Base Salary: $90,000-$120,000
