Senior engineer to architect and build core platform systems for manufacturing including MRP, MES, work order management, and production tracking integrated with robotics.

Responsibilities

  • Design and evolve our internal MRP/MES systems that manage BOMs, inventory, scheduling, and production workflows
  • Build APIs and services that interface directly with robotic systems, factory-floor tooling, and CRMs
  • Develop real-time and event-driven systems that ensure production visibility, traceability, and data integrity
  • Partner closely with manufacturing, robotics, and operations teams to translate physical workflows into robust software abstractions
  • Architect systems that prioritize reliability, correctness, and uptime in production-critical environments

  • This role is hybrid with 3 days/week onsite in our Glen Cove, NY factory. The factory is fast-growing and fully equipped with robots!
  • What you'll do: We’re looking for a senior engineer to architect and build the core platform systems that power our factory including MRP, MES, work order management, and production tracking systems tightly integrated with our robotic arms.
  • You’ll design and implement software that directly orchestrates physical production workflows, connects digital systems to real-world hardware, and ensures reliability, traceability, and operational excellence over our fleet of products.

  • Who you are We do not require or favor any background in robotics
  • We’re looking for engineers who are self driven, optimistic, creative, and resourceful. We have no requirements for a background in robotics, but find most success with engineers excited by the domain and looking to apply their expertise and experience in a new area.
  • Our ideal candidate will be open to doing approximately 50% back-end and 50% front-end work with flexibility to sway more towards one or the other, depending on current projects and team needs.

  • Compensation and Benefits: The salary range for this role is $170,000 to $210,000, depending on experience. Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at Standard Bots. All Full-Time Employees are eligible for Employee Stock Options. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees.
