Business Operations Associate role working with Chief of Staff at Pasito focusing on operations in AI workspace for employee benefits.

Responsibilities

  • We’re looking for a Business Operations Associate to join our team and work directly with
  • our Chief of Staff. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role at the center of how Pasito runs:
  • you’ll touch everything from operational processes and cross-functional projects to people
  • programs and strategic analysis.
  • This role is ideal for someone early in their career who thrives in ambiguity, moves fast, and
  • wants to learn how a startup operates from the inside out.

Nice to have

  • Experience with tools like Notion, Slack, ClickUp, or similar project management and documentation platforms.
  • Prior startup, AI-native or high-growth company experience.

Other

  • Pasito is the AI workspace for employee benefits.
  • We’re rethinking how group insurance and benefits are underwritten, delivered, used and
  • measured - by the people who design them and the people who depend on them. Instead
  • of static PDFs, disconnected systems, and manual workflows, Pasito brings plan design,
  • payroll and benefits data, claims, and financial context into a single, AI-native workspace
  • that helps benefits actually work for the 178 million Americans who depend on this system.
  • We don’t build for brokers, carriers and employers - we build with them. That collaboration
  • shows up in everything we ship: AI agents that extract and structure plan data, tools that
  • turn complexity into clarity for employees, and workflows that save carriers and consultants
  • hundreds of hours per case.
  • Today, Pasito supports many of the largest insurance carriers and brokers in the U.S. We’re
  • backed by Y Combinator and Core Innovation Capital, and we’re growing quickly. We ship
  • fast, iterate relentlessly, and care deeply about building systems that are accurate, scalable,
  • and human.
  • If you’re excited to work alongside exceptional operators and engineers, and apply AI in a
  • legacy industry where precision and trust matter, Pasito is the place for you.
  • Support major product launches and strategic initiatives.
  • Assist with product QA and testing before releases.
  • Maintain and manage demo environments and demo accounts.
  • Create product decks and supporting materials for early client conversations.
  • Gather, organize, and analyze data to support business decisions across operations, growth, product, and people functions.
  • Work with Pasito’s data team to create and maintain reports, dashboards, and KPI tracking.
  • Prepare summaries, presentations, and supporting materials for executive meetings
  • and strategic initiatives.
  • Help coordinate projects across teams by tracking timelines, action items, and stakeholder communication.
  • Follow up with team members to ensure deliverables stay on track and deadlines are met.
  • Help prepare meeting agendas, notes, and status updates.
  • Support the execution of company-wide initiatives and special projects.
  • Support the documentation, maintenance, and improvement of internal processes and workflows.
  • Maintain and administer internal tools and systems, ensuring they are properly configured, organized, and effectively used across teams.
  • Help coordinate recurring team meetings, operating rhythms, and follow-up action items.
  • Maintain internal documentation, knowledge bases, and project trackers to ensure information is accurate and accessible.
  • Assist with the administration and organization of internal tools and systems.
  • Assist with onboarding activities to help new hires ramp up successfully.
  • Work with Pasito’s event coordinator to organize internal events, team gatherings, and offsites.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and internal communications.
  • 1–3 years of experience in consulting, finance, technology or a related field (or strong internship experience in a fast-paced environment).
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. You can communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively across different audiences.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • A natural problem-solver who enjoys creating structure, improving processes, and finding more efficient ways of working.
  • Strong analytical skills: comfortable pulling data, building spreadsheets, and turning numbers into a clear story.
  • High ownership. You’re as comfortable doing the unglamorous work as the strategic work.
  • Comfort with ambiguity. Pasito moves fast; things change, and that energizes rather than frustrates you.
  • Real ownership from day one: You’ll be running real projects, making real decisions, and seeing the impact right away.
  • Strategic visibility: Report directly to the Chief of Staff and work closely with the
  • CEO and COO, supporting and learning from company-wide decision-making.
  • Growth: Join at a pivotal stage and grow into a senior operations or strategy role as
  • the company scales.
  • Competitive compensation: Salary benchmarked to your market, paid in USD.
  • Remote-first: Work from anywhere in Latin America with a highly collaborative team.
  • Learning and development: A budget to invest in yourself, whether that’s courses,
  • books, or conferences.
  • Team offsites: We get together in person every year to work, connect, and have fun.
  • Pasito is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We believe great teams are built
  • through diversity of background, perspective, and experience, and we’re committed to
  • creating an inclusive environment where everyone can do their best work.
