Manage and improve core people operations processes, systems, and compliance to support company growth.

Responsibilities

  • Own and continuously improve core people operations processes including onboarding, offboarding, employee data management, and lifecycle changes (promotions, transfers, leaves of absence).
  • Manage and optimize People systems (HRIS, payroll, benefits administration) and vendor relationships to support a growing workforce.
  • Partner with Finance, Legal, and IT to ensure operational alignment across payroll, compliance, equity administration, and employee records.
  • Drive operational readiness for headcount growth, ensuring processes and infrastructure scale ahead of hiring velocity.
  • Build and maintain people operations documentation, playbooks, and SOPs that enable consistency and reduce institutional knowledge risk.
  • Support compliance efforts across employment law, data privacy, and regulatory requirements, partnering with Legal as needed.
  • Analyze people data and operational metrics to surface insights, identify bottlenecks, and recommend improvements to leadership.
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for employees on operational questions, resolving issues with speed, empathy, and discretion.
  • Contribute to people programs and initiatives such as employee engagement, workplace experience, and internal communications.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in people operations, HR operations, or an operations role at a technology company. Investment banking or consulting backgrounds also welcome.
  • Hands-on experience managing HRIS platforms, payroll systems, and benefits administration.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with experience working alongside Finance, Legal, IT, or other operational teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, document, and improve scalable processes in a fast-changing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and data integrity, with comfort using people analytics to drive decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Self-directed and adaptable, comfortable operating in fast-moving environments with evolving priorities.
  • Past experience at high-growth or early-stage companies preferred.
