Managing logistics and coordination of marketing events, PR activities, and communications to support B2B marketing efforts.
Responsibilities
- We're looking for someone who knows that the best partnerships often start with a great conversation, and that the right story in the right outlet can open doors that no sales deck can.
- As our Marketing Events & Communications Manager, you know how to get things done: you can own the logistics of a Tier 1 executive dinner, keep a PR agency on track, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks between a media pitch and a conference booth.
- You'll work closely with Clair's B2B Marketing lead to execute partner-facing and prospect-facing events and support day-to-day PR activities. You won't be setting the overall strategy from scratch—you'll be the person who makes sure it actually happens, on time and with strong attention to detail.
- This is an ideal role for someone who is organized, proactive, and comfortable switching between event logistics, media coordination, and agency management in the same week.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in event marketing, field marketing, communications, PR, or a hybrid of the above
- Demonstrated experience executing B2B events, conferences, executive dinners, or partner-facing experiences end-to-end
- Experience managing or working alongside a PR agency—including briefing, reviewing pitches, tracking coverage, and holding an agency accountable to outcomes
- Familiarity with media relations basics: media lists, pitch coordination, and press briefing prep
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills—comfortable drafting a pitch, a briefing doc, and a run-of-show in the same week
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with executives, sales teams, partners, vendors and agency contacts
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment where priorities evolve quickly
- Willingness to travel as needed
Nice to have
- Experience in fintech, HR tech, SaaS, payroll, or the future of work space
- Existing relationships with journalists, analysts, or newsletter writers covering fintech or HR tech
- Experience supporting conference sponsorships and speaking opportunities
- Experience managing award submissions and analyst relations
- Familiarity with CRM, event management, and media monitoring tools
