Lead video editor responsible for creating and evolving high-performing video content across organic and paid channels, collaborating with multiple teams and driving performance through storytelling and AI workflows.
Responsibilities
- As our Lead Video Editor , you’ll own the creation and evolution of high-performing video content across organic and paid channels.
- You’ll be responsible for transforming raw footage into clear, engaging, and conversion-driven videos—balancing storytelling, pacing, and performance insights to drive real results.
- You’ll work closely with Growth, Creative, and Brand teams to define and scale So Shall We’s visual identity, while continuously improving output quality, speed, and consistency through systems and AI-driven workflows.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience editing video content for social media, digital marketing, or content platforms.
- Strong experience in both short-form and long-form editing .
- Advanced proficiency in tools like Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, or similar.
- Strong understanding of pacing, storytelling, and retention mechanics in high-performing content.
- Experience working with performance-driven content (organic or paid).
- Familiarity with AI-based editing tools or strong willingness to adopt them.
- Strong sense of visual taste, trends, and platform-native content styles.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, feedback-driven environment.
- Able to explain creative decisions clearly and collaborate cross-functionally.
- Good English communication skills (written and spoken).

- Edit and deliver short-form video content (2–3 per day) across platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
- Produce long-form content (1–2 per week) for YouTube, podcasts, or other brand and client assets.
- Translate briefs, creative direction, and performance inputs into clear, engaging video edits.
- Apply editing techniques that improve retention, pacing, clarity, and storytelling.
- Collaborate closely with Growth and Creative teams to align content with campaign objectives and hooks.
- Select and integrate music, b-roll, and visual elements that enhance narrative and brand identity.
- Use AI tools and automation to improve editing efficiency, output, and consistency.
- Analyze performance data and feedback to iterate on structure, pacing, and creative direction.
- Contribute to and help define internal editing systems, templates, and best practices.
- Provide guidance and feedback to junior editors as the team grows.
- Stay up to date with trends, platform dynamics, and content formats to ensure relevance.
