Responsibilities
- You will join a dynamic team focused on building and scaling AI-powered products. This role is centered around designing, developing, and deploying AI-driven features within real-world applications , not just experimenting with models.
- We are looking for a strong software engineer with hands-on experience integrating LLMs into production systems , working across backend services, APIs, and AI workflows .
- You will play a key role in shipping AI-powered functionality using technologies such as OpenAI GPT-4, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, and open-source models like Llama, while staying at the forefront of generative AI advancements.
- Design, build, and deploy AI-powered features within production-grade applications.
- Develop backend services and APIs that integrate LLMs into real-world products.
- Build and optimize LLM-based workflows , including prompt engineering, tool usage, RAG systems, and agent frameworks .
- Own end-to-end delivery of AI features , from ideation to deployment and monitoring.
- Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and product teams to integrate AI capabilities into scalable systems .
- Work with large codebases and contribute to system architecture and technical decisions .
- Evaluate and improve LLM performance using testing frameworks, metrics, and iteration .
- Collect, preprocess, and manage data required for AI-powered features ( not heavy model training ).
- Stay up to date with advancements in generative AI and apply them to product development .
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4-5 years of experience as a Software Engineer, AI Engineer, or similar (product-focused) role.
- Located in COLOMBIA (only).
- B2+ or C1 English Level.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals (data structures, system design, clean code).
- Proficiency in Python and experience building backend systems (APIs, services, integrations).
- Hands-on experience integrating LLMs (OpenAI GPT-4, Anthropic Claude, Gemini, Llama) into applications. 👉 Claude experience is a strong plus.
- Experience building RAG systems, agent frameworks, or LLM-based applications.
- Experience working in production environments and with large codebases.
- Experience shipping features or products end-to-end (from development to deployment).
- Familiarity with SQL (Postgres) and data handling.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment.
Nice to have
- Experience deploying applications or AI services on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) .
- Experience with modern backend or full-stack frameworks .
- Familiarity with big data tools (Hadoop, Spark) .
- Contributions to AI-related projects (open-source or applied) .
- Experience building AI features in industries such as finance, healthcare, retail, or tech.
