Lead and grow an engineering team building systems behind Triumph Arcade and Rips, managing people and product, hiring talent, and collaborating with product and design.
Responsibilities
- As an Engineering Manager at Triumph, you'll lead and grow the team building the systems behind Triumph Arcade and Rips. You'll be accountable for both the people and the product — developing engineers, partnering with product and design on roadmap, and hiring the talent that lets us keep pace with our own growth.
- Stay hands-on with the codebase while leading the team - contributing to architecture, pushing code, and managing through the work rather than around it
- Grow and develop engineers through direct feedback, high standards, and creating clear paths for career progression
- Own hiring for your team: sourcing strategy, interview process design, and closing candidates who raise the bar
- Partner with product and design to translate business goals into clear engineering scope, sequencing work to maximize impact and minimize rework
- Drive technical architecture and system design decisions, balancing long-term scalability with the pragmatism of a fast-moving product environment
- Lead project execution end-to-end: breaking down ambiguous problems, managing dependencies, and keeping delivery on track without micromanaging
- Leverage AI tools actively - both in your own work and in setting the standard for how your team uses them to move faster and write better software
Requirements
- 3+ years of engineering management experience, with direct people management and hiring accountability
- Strong technical foundation — you've built backend, mobile, or full-stack systems and can engage substantively with architectural decisions
- Track record of developing engineers: promotions, lateral growth, performance management when needed
- Experience in fast-moving consumer product environments where roadmap changes are a feature, not a bug
- Bonus: experience in gaming, real-money products, or marketplace/trading platforms where trust and reliability are central to the product
