Hiring a Product Manager to own and build Gaiafamily's Employer product end-to-end, focusing on strategy, product shipping, and revenue impact.
Responsibilities
- You will own the Employer product line like a business, in close partnership with our Head of Employer sales. You will:
- Define the strategy
- Ship the product
- Close feedback loops with customers (both employers & employees)
- Drive revenue impact
- Build the system from scratch
- You’ll also work directly with our Head of Product, engineering team, exec team, Ops, Finance and Legal.
- If you want to just manage a backlog, this is not the job for you. If you want to build a business inside a company, it is 💪
Nice to have
- You’re an ex founder
- You’ve owned revenue targets before
- Have experience in fertility, family-building, or HRA administration
Conditions
- Competitive base salary + meaningful equity - range for this role is $130-160k
- Hybrid NYC work environment (we’re in our office at 387 Park Ave 3 days a week!)
- Full benefits (very generous for early-stage startups)
- Fertility & egg-freezing benefits
- If this sounds interesting, we’d love to talk.
Other
- At Gaia Family , we're building modern fertility coverage that actually works — for patients and for employers. We partner with companies to offer IVF and egg freezing as a structured, outcomes-aligned, benefit that complements our existing consumer offering. We’ve already signed our first employer logos but are still early. We’re hiring a Product Manager to own and build our Employer product end-to-end. This is a zero-to-one GM role disguised as a PM role.
- We’re an ambitious, fast-moving team backed by top-tier investors (including Valar Ventures and Atomico).
- You will define the long-term vision for Gaia’s employer offering, turning ambiguity into a crisp roadmap. This will require you to clarify ICPs (mid-market vs enterprise) alongside Sales, whilst working with Finance to shape packaging, pricing, and plan design.
- We want to create a lovable employer and employee experience that stands out in the fertility & family-building landscape. 🧡
- You’ll be responsible for surface areas ranging from customer sales conversations to the implementation & onboarding experience, and employee enrollment & usage.
- You will need to obsess over the full system, not just one aspect.
- You will co-leading the ROI strategy for our employer product. This means:
- Understanding case rates, utilization, loss ratios
- Partnering with Finance on pricing experiments
- Improving margins through product & process design
- You will focus on these metrics like a GM would.
- You will work with teams across the business, you will:
- Align with Sales & Legal on what we sell
- Partner with Ops on what we can operationalize
- Work with Eng to build scalable systems
- Run tight weekly reviews
- Someone who...
- Is deeply collaborative with a builder mindset
- Is solution-oriented - when we encounter challenges, you are already brainstorming on how to solve
- Is curious and eager to learn
- Has deep ownership
- Works cross-functionally successfully
- Isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and when needed, "wear many hats" to execute successfully
- Is AI-native and excited about the future of EPD & tech
- Have 5–10 years B2B experience in product or growth roles - ideally in high-growth fast-paced startups
- Have built or worked on an employer healthcare product before
- Care about revenue and margin, not just UX polish
- Love ambiguity
- Are AI-native, constantly testing out the latest tools to scale yourself & your team
- Can go from whiteboard → SQL → customer call → Figma → pricing model in the same week
- Have high energy and bias toward action
- We move fast, operate with high ownership, and care deeply about quality.
- We believe great product teams combine strong judgment with fast iteration. We run lots of experiments, stay close to customers, and prioritize business impact over process theater.
- We’re also highly AI-native. We use AI throughout product development, operations, analysis, and communication. The people who succeed here tend to be naturally curious builders who adopt new tools quickly and constantly look for leverage.
- You’re not inheriting a polished product.
- You’re building the operating system for a new line of business.
- You will have real leverage over revenue.
- Work on a meaningful problem in healthcare with massive market opportunity
- Operate with unusually high autonomy and visibility
- Join a small, high-talent team where decisions ship quickly
- Help define the future of fertility financing and patient experience
- Meaningful equity upside as the company scales
