Responsible for managing external manufacturing partners for data center server systems with GPU/NPU accelerator cards, overseeing the full manufacturing lifecycle and coordination with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • The OEM/ODM Manufacturing Manager is responsible for managing external manufacturing partners for data center server systems equipped with GPU/NPU PCIe accelerator cards. This role oversees the full manufacturing lifecycle, from NPI and pilot builds to mass production, quality control, delivery execution, cost management, and continuous improvement.
  • The position requires strong experience in server hardware manufacturing, OEM/ODM vendor management, production planning, quality systems, and cross-functional coordination with engineering, supply chain, logistics, and customer teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in OEM/ODM manufacturing, contract manufacturing, server hardware operations, or electronics manufacturing.
  • Experience managing server, storage, networking, AI accelerator, GPU, NPU, or data center hardware manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of server system assembly, integration, test, and quality control processes.
  • Experience with NPI builds, pilot production, mass production ramp, and lifecycle management.
  • Knowledge of PCBA, PCIe cards, system-level testing, firmware loading, burn-in, and factory diagnostics.
  • Familiarity with BOM, ECO, AVL/AML, PCN, material planning, and production control.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with experience in RCA, 8D, FA, CAPA, and yield improvement.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and external manufacturing partners across different time zones.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Nice to have

  • Hands-on experience with AI/GPU servers, NPU accelerator systems, HPC platforms, or hyperscale data center hardware.
  • Direct experience managing Taiwan, China, Korea, or Southeast Asia-based OEM/ODM manufacturers.
  • Working knowledge of PCIe Gen4/Gen5, high-power accelerator card design, thermal and airflow management, power delivery, and signal integrity.
  • Familiarity with server BIOS, BMC, IPMI/Redfish, firmware release control, and Linux-based diagnostics.
  • Experience with rack integration, burn-in systems, data center deployment, or automated test infrastructure.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements including CE, FCC, UL, RoHS, and REACH; hands-on experience managing safety certification is a plus.
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP, PLM, or MES systems; experience with production dashboards and quality management tools.
  • Business proficiency in Mandarin

Other

  • Own end-to-end manufacturing execution with OEM/ODM partners — from build kickoff through shipment and delivery.
  • Drive production scheduling, capacity planning, material readiness, and on-time delivery across all build phases.
  • Track and manage builds through prototype, EVT/DVT/PVT, pilot, ramp, and mass production milestones.
  • Oversee full server platform integration: PCIe accelerators, CPUs, memory, storage, NICs, PSUs, fans, chassis, BIOS/BMC configuration, firmware loading, burn-in, and final inspection.
  • Run regular manufacturing reviews with partners — covering build status, yield, open issues, recovery plans, and delivery commitments.
  • Lead NPI manufacturing readiness from first engineering build through mass production transition.
  • Coordinate pilot builds, test plan validation, work instructions, line setup, tooling, and go/no-go readiness reviews.
  • Partner with hardware, firmware, software, mechanical, and quality teams to resolve build and integration issues quickly.
  • Ensure test readiness across scripts, fixtures, diagnostic tools, test limits, and software image control — including BIOS, BMC, CPLD/FPGA, and drivers.
  • Maintain configuration control: serial number tracking, MAC address management, shipment records, and production test data traceability.
  • Monitor yield, defect trends, rework rates, and outgoing quality; hold partners accountable to factory KPIs.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing defects, DOAs, RMAs, and field escapes — including 8D and FA review.
  • Manage material readiness: BOM accuracy, AVL/AML control, ECO implementation, shortage resolution, EOL/PCN impacts, and alternate part qualification.
  • Oversee finished goods readiness — packaging validation, export documentation, customs clearance, and delivery execution.
  • Track OEM/ODM performance against cost, NRE, tooling, freight, on-time delivery, cycle time, and quality targets.
