Responsibilities
- We’re looking for a hands-on Electronics Engineer who loves solving complex problems and bringing ambitious technology to life. You’ll be central to designing, prototyping, and optimising advanced electronics for cold atom and quantum systems.
- This isn’t a “follow the manual” job, you’ll help shape your role, work across disciplines, and tackle real engineering challenges head-on. If you thrive in a start-up environment, adaptable, innovative, and ready to persevere, this role is for you.
- Collaborate with scientists & engineers to define system requirements for quantum technologies.
- Design, develop & test low-noise analog and digital circuits.
- Implement control and data acquisition systems for cutting-edge experiments.
- Debug & optimise complex electronic hardware for reliable performance.
- Integrate and test next-generation quantum devices.
- Continuously improve hardware & software solutions.
Requirements
- BSc/MSc in Electrical/Electronics Engineering (PhD or Systems Engineering background is a plus).
- 3+ years’ experience in electronics design and prototyping for high-performance systems.
- Strong skills in analog & digital circuit design, PCB layout, and prototyping.
- Experience with GHz RF circuits highly desirable.
- Background in cold atom, FPGA, or quantum technologies (atomic clocks, sensors, computing) is a big advantage.
- Proficiency with relevant programming languages & design tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
