Lead and optimize the process design and deployment of proprietary electrolyzer equipment systems ensuring safety, performance, and customer success.
Responsibilities
- We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to support the successful and reliable design, integration, and deployment of our electrolyzer systems at customer sites. Fourier engineers work in a hands-on, collaborative environment to solve problems and push progress forward. Qualified candidates should have prior hands-on experience working in an industrial setting, ensuring customer success from design through commissioning.
- Lead and optimize the process design of Fourier proprietary Electrolyzer Equipment stack ups and supporting systems.
- Design and prototype tools to aid system deployment and commissioning. Plan, integrate, and ensure system compatibility and start up at customer sites.
- Ensure that the Fourier Electrolyzer Equipment and processes meet and exceed customer and regulatory safety requirements and performance expectations.
- Collect and analyze process field data in partnership with the Software & Controls and Engineering team to identify trends, intercept process issues and improve system performance.
- Lead and rapidly troubleshoot engineering projects and resolve on-site issues with a high level of cross functional, problem-solving capability.
- Coordinate and oversee third-party certifications (e.g., UL, TÜV SÜD) for hydrogen systems, including preparation of documentation, test plans, and engagement with certifying bodies.
Conditions
- Fully paid Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage
- Competitive salary and equity compensation commensurate with experience
- 401k
- Diverse and inclusive work environment
- Paid sick days and vacation
- Free lunches on-site
Other
- Fourier is working on making on-site Hydrogen universally accessible. Our breakthrough architecture enables highly modular and fully automated electrolyzers that scale to any size and optimize efficiency at all loads. We are on a mission to transition the global energy landscape towards a purely sustainable and emission-free future.
- B.S. in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in process engineering or system integration.
- Hands-on work with gas and/or water piping, valve selection, and fluid handling systems.
- Experience in the development and deployment of novel chemical or electrochemical systems.
- Solid understanding of Process Safety Management requirements (PHA, HAZID, HAZOP).
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., API, ASME, OSHA, EPA, NFPA).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to execute under high-pressure situations.
- Willingness to frequently travel to customer sites.
- Experience with or willingness to manage product certification processes (UL, TÜV SÜD, or similar) for hydrogen equipment.
