Requirements

  • TikTok-native editing instincts — you know what a strong hook looks like in the first 2 seconds of raw footage, and you know how to build toward it.
  • Speed without sloppiness — you're comfortable turning around multiple cuts in a short window. Fast doesn't mean careless.
  • Performance mindset — you care whether your edits work, not just whether they look good. You read the results and apply them to the next cut.
  • AI tool fluency — you've used tools like ElevenLabs, or equivalent for dubbing and lip-sync. You experiment and stay current.
  • Modular thinking — you understand the hook / body / CTA structure and can edit to the module, not just the whole video.
  • Autonomous execution — you read the brief, ask the right questions once, and deliver. You don't need to be chased.

As a Freelance Video Editor at Shook Digital, you'll take raw creator footage and turn it into scroll-stopping UGC ads - iterating fast, remixing creatively, and using every tool available, including AI, to ship assets that win.
  • Edit raw creator footage into polished, script-accurate UGC ads. Maintain the native, platform-first feel that outperforms studio content on TikTok.
  • Review ad results and iterate cuts based on what the data says. Swap hooks, recut bodies, and test new CTAs with speed and precision.
  • Repurpose winning assets into fresh variants. Combine hooks from one ad with bodies from another. Build the modular library that fuels our testing engine.
  • Use AI tools to localise and dub creator content across languages and AI voice overs. Stay ahead of what's possible with lip-sync workflows and apply it at scale.
