Design and develop mechanical components and production processes for personal water-making technology hardware.
Responsibilities
- Own consumer hardware from conceptual design through high-volume production and public launch.
- Develop design criteria, collaborate on requirements, and drive system-level optimization.
- Test and iterate on products to ensure high reliability and performance in all environments and use cases.
- Design and develop production lines for manufacturing your product, including robot end effector design, process development, control system design, automation programming, and more.
- Refine production systems to achieve high-rate, high-yield, and reliable manufacturing processes.
- Establish an efficient product lifecycle, from supply chain to final integration, balancing cost, complexity, and quality.
- Collaborate with partner teams to design and implement efficient in-house production lines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
- Proficiency in CAD and FEA software packages.
- 1+ years of professional experience in mechanical/electromechanical design, analysis, testing, and/or manufacturing.
- Hands on work on development hardware.
- Long periods of standing, crouching, walking.
- Lifting up to 50 lbs
Nice to have
- Experience in high-volume manufacturing or consumer hardware production.
- Knowledge of pumps, valves or other mechanical components
- Knowledge of automation programming and process development.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on innovation and efficiency.
- Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and drive projects to completion.
