FUNCORP, an entertainment UGC app developer, is seeking a Senior QA Backend Engineer to ensure high product quality and great user experience for their FunXD app focused on short videos and memes. The role involves functional and automated testing of backend and API, working closely with product teams, and maintaining testing infrastructure.

- We adapt the product to specific markets and audiences: optimize for Android Go, experiment with content feed focused on video.
- We do a lot of tests based on data and experiment with atypical tasks such as adaptive streaming.
- We aim to keep the app size small.
Responsibilities
- Participate in product design and releases to ensure high quality and a great user experience
- Work closely in product team with developers, product managers and QA engineers
- Preparation of test scenarios for unreleased features and changes
- Conduct functional testing of our mobile applications backend and API
- Maintain and develop test infrastructure
- Participate in writing new automated tests and improving existing ones (great if experienced, willing to teach if not)
- Localize problems on your own test bench
- Analyze and research the product as a whole and its parts
- Collaborate on development and refinement of QA processes
Requirements
- Experience in functional testing of client-server applications and/or experience in API testing
- Understanding of microservice architecture
- Knowledge of HTTP protocol
Nice to have
- Experience in development/support of frameworks for automated testing
- Knowledge of Java, Python, Kotlin, Groovy or any other script language
- Basic knowledge of Linux
- Work experience with Docker
