Comtek international is recruiting developers to create an innovative platform for predictive analytics for a large American industrial machinery company using Java, Scala, and streaming technologies.

  • An innovative platform for predictive analytics is being created from scratch.
  • The platform includes a core engine supporting personalized dashboards.
  • APIs allow users to view alerts, recommendations, and work tasks.
  • Users can access machine history going back a few years.
  • The platform handles terabytes of data with unrivaled scale and data streams.
  • Problems to solve include advanced algorithms and dynamically optimized queries.

Responsibilities

  • Create the platform from scratch as part of a team of outstanding developers.
  • Write a core engine that supports personalized dashboards.
  • Develop APIs for users to view alerts, recommendations, and work tasks.
  • Write queries and algorithms that process terabytes of data.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of commercial development in Java: Microservices, Springboot.
  • 2+ years of commercial development in Scala (Akka, etc.).
  • Experience with similar technologies to Spark Streaming, Flink, Kinesis, Kafka, etc.
  • Experience with RESTful web services.
  • Experience with AWS infrastructure, deploying and maintaining software in public clouds.
  • DevOps experience (uses Azure DevOps).
  • Experience with high availability and reliable solutions.
  • Architecture experience.
  • Spoken and written English level sufficient to pass interviews and work in an international team (B2).

Nice to have

  • Experience with streaming technologies similar to Spark Streaming, Flink, Akka, Kinesis, Kafka.
  • Experience with tasks involving Restful APIs, proxy APIs on Apigee Edge, AWS API Gateway or Azure API Gateway platforms.
  • Experience with Swagger, Postman, and Assertible tools.
  • Experience developing software using relational databases and NoSQL databases.
  • Familiarity with the full diversity of Amazon's infrastructure.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum methodology teams of expert developers.

Conditions

  • Salary from $6,000 to $7,200 per month before taxes.
  • For candidates residing outside the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus.
