Founding Solutions Engineer responsible for driving new business globally, supporting technical sales processes, and serving as a technical advisor and product advocate at a high-growth SaaS company.
Requirements
- You’ll play a key role in supporting customers as they evaluate and adopt Unblocked, ensuring an excellent product experience and continuously improving the quality of our answers.
- Prior Founding SE experience required; strong engineering acumen preferred — you don't need to have held the title, but you need to think and communicate like an engineer
- Startup experience — you're comfortable with ambiguity, can context-switch quickly, and know how to build a process where none exists
- Demonstrable ability to manage multiple concurrent technical engagements - you have experience working with potential clients and active clients simultaneously without missing a beat
- Deep familiarity with the agentic AI space — you've built with tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex and have a genuine grasp of the context and memory problem these tools are solving
- Hands-on experience with agentic workflows and skills — you can demo them, explain them, and help customers implement them
- Genuine curiosity about what's next — you follow new releases closely, experiment eagerly, and can rapidly incorporate new capabilities into GTM assets and demos
Other
- We're looking for a Founding Solutions Engineer to join our growing team and play a pivotal role in driving new business across a global territory. You'll work side-by-side with Account Executives to own the technical outcome of every deal — from first demo to signed contract — while serving as a trusted advisor, technical translator, and product advocate. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role at the intersection of engineering and customer success, and it's ideal for someone who loves being close to the product, the field, and the cutting edge.
- Unblocked is a high-growth, well-funded SaaS company that has built a context engine for coding agents and developers. This allows agents to be provided with the right context to research, plan and implement coding tasks without developers having to babysit them; thus reducing time and tokens in the agentic development lifecycle. Additionally, Unblocked provides developers a Q&A and Code Review interface to answer questions about their applications and architecture.
- Pre-Sales & New Business Partner closely with Account Executives on new business opportunities, taking full ownership of the technical workstream throughout the sales cycle
- Cover a global new business territory spanning West Coast North America through EMEA, with travel to customer sites and industry conferences
- Deliver compelling, tailored live demos and lead technical Q&A sessions with prospective customers
- Maintain and continuously improve demo environments and supporting assets to reflect the latest product capabilities
- Scope and design POCs with a clear understanding of customer integration requirements and technical constraints
- Identify and flag non-standard configurations early, keeping the broader team informed
- Speak confidently to system architecture, including dedicated VPC deployments and enterprise infrastructure considerations
- Run technical training sessions and enablement workshops for customers and prospects
- Serve as a subject matter expert on MCP best practices and agentic tooling
- Monitor Slack, email, and other channels to ensure technical questions are answered promptly and thoroughly
- Complete first-pass security reviews and questionnaires in collaboration with internal teams
- Act as the voice of the field — actively synthesizing and communicating customer insights, pain points, and emerging patterns back to Product and Engineering
- Translate what you're hearing in deals into actionable product intelligence
- Driven to get things done: Eager creators who execute quickly.
- Able to play well with others: Collaborative and effective communicators.
- Passionate advocates for the end-user: Dedicated to exceptional customer experiences.
- Different: Offering unique perspectives and continuously learning.
- Ambitious malcontents: Always seeking improvement and meaningful technological impact.
- Competitive salary.
- Equity in the company for eligible candidates.
- Generous medical and dental benefits.
- Very flexible vacation policy.
- Your choice of Apple hardware to get started.
- Opportunities for diverse personal growth and project involvement.
